Light the Night

2025-10-2801:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Are you afraid of the dark? Well, during this time of year, there is a lot of emphasis on the spooky and dark side of things. But don't be scared of it! Instead, shine the light of Jesus on the darkness in our world. Now, how do you spread some light? First, we need to know God's Word. Psalm 119 and verse 105 says: “Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path...” So don't dwell on the darkness! Walk with your path illuminated by God's Word and take every chance you can to spread His Word to others, especially in times like we’re in right now. Here's a tip: this Halloween, light up someone's night by sharing a Bible verse that God has laid on your heart. Ask them engaging spiritual questions that could lead to a Gospel conversation. If you need help getting started learning how you can be ready to share your faith, visit our website at sharelife.today. That’s sharelife.today.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Candy, ghosts, goblins and... the Gospel? How are these things related? Well, they're not, BUT we are coming up on Halloween, and that means we are surrounded by all things black and orange and full of sugar. How should Christians choose to respond to this holiday? It's really a controversial topic and while you should always listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and pay attention to the convictions He places on your heart, every believer ought to be able to agree that we are here to bring the light of Jesus into the darkness. One of the ways you can do that this week is by taking advantage of the holiday. Take advantage of the fact that friends are getting together or your neighbors are out and about more. Use the opportunities you are given this week to bring up the hope you have found in Jesus! If you need help learning how to do that, visit sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Brad and Doug Hutchcraft have a heart for discipling young believers, especially among indigenous communities. Brad shared, “And so to see some of those that we work with saying, ‘I wanna reach my people, but I also want to not just be the mission field. I want to be part of the mission force. Because I’ve got hope to share.’” That’s the power of discipleship. When people encounter Jesus, He not only saves them—He sends them. Around the world, indigenous young people are taking the Gospel back to their tribes, their towns, and even across nations. They’re showing what it looks like to turn from being the mission field into being the mission force. And that’s exactly what Jesus called us to do: to make disciples who make disciples. The next generation of Gospel-bearers is already rising up—let’s be the ones to equip them as they take the hope of Christ to their people and beyond. Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Roger Lonnquist, founder of the New Life Africa Satellite Network that broadcasts Share Life Africa to 53 radio stations in 15 countries, has a deep passion for reaching people with the message of Jesus. He said, “There is an immense hunger in Africa for the Gospel… and we need to present the Gospel so they can hear it, present teaching so they can grow, and go forward in their faith.” That same hunger exists all over the world — people searching for truth, for hope, for a Savior. And God has called each of us to be part of meeting that need. When we share the Gospel, God uses it to change lives. The Holy Spirit knocks on the door of their hearts and invites them to be transformed through trusting in what Jesus did on the cross for them. Let’s not keep this hope to ourselves — let’s take it to a world that’s desperate to hear it. To watch the full interview with Roger Lonnquist, visit sharelife.today.
God Shows Up

God Shows Up

2025-10-2201:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Doug Hutchcraft reminds us that sharing our faith isn’t something we do alone. He said, “When you say, ‘I’m gonna obey the Great Commission, I’m gonna share His heart and I’m gonna share my faith.’ He will show up.” That’s the promise Jesus gave us — “Go and make disciples of all nations... and surely, I am with you always.” When we obey His call to share the Gospel, God’s presence and power go with us. It’s in those moments of faith-filled obedience to share our faith that we see Him work — softening hearts, opening doors, and changing lives. You may not feel qualified or confident, but remember this: when you take the step to speak about Jesus, you’re never stepping out alone. The God who sent you goes with you — and He will show up. So today, I encourage you...share your faith, and watch what God will do. For resources and to watch the full interview with Brad and Doug Hutchcraft, visit sharelife.today.
Infectious Faith

Infectious Faith

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Brad Hutchcraft has seen what happens when we take Jesus’ command to share the Gospel seriously. He said, “It’s when we share Jesus with someone that we get to see the impact it has on their lives and how the lights come on for someone. And it’s infectious.” When you tell someone about Jesus and watch their life change, it fuels your own faith. The joy of seeing God work in another person’s heart is contagious—it makes you want to keep going. So today, let’s share Jesus with someone who needs the hope found only in Him. It’s exciting to join God in the work He is already doing. And when you step out in faith and share the Gospel, you never know how God might use your obedience to ignite faith in another life. For resources to help you share your faith and to watch the full interview with Brad and Doug Hutchcraft, visit sharelife.today.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Ron Hutchcraft, evangelist and founder of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, reminds us that sharing the Gospel isn’t optional — it’s our calling. He said, “You are here on mission for Jesus. He has literally placed you in your friend’s life. Would you tonight look in the mirror and say these words, ‘I am someone’s chance. I am someone’s chance at Jesus.’” That’s a sobering thought — and an inspiring one. God has strategically placed you in your workplace, your school, your neighborhood, even your family. None of those relationships are accidents but opportunities to be a living witness for Him. When we realize that, every conversation takes on eternal significance. You are a messenger of hope, carrying the Gospel to a world that desperately needs Jesus. Let’s ask today, “Lord, who’s my someone?” And then as God shows us, let’s take the opportunity to share our faith. Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, shared about how He has seen God’s faithfulness in his own life, “God's blessing has been beyond anything I could have imagined. In between, we started a satellite delivery company called Ambos. And it's clear based on who I am and who we are, that God's hand was in it every step of the way.” Through Ambos, God used Jim and his team to help Christian radio grow—pushing Gospel content to stations around the world. Jim could see God’s hand in it all. And the same is true in our lives. When we look back, we see God’s faithfulness—how He’s guided and transformed us since we placed our trust in Him alone. And sharing our “God stories” can open doors to Gospel conversations. So today, tell someone how God’s been faithful to you—and then share the Good News. A Bright Future

A Bright Future

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, shared a powerful quote. “I love the quote from the new chairman of Home Depot, who coming on board, met with all his senior staff, and they were all talking about how wonderful it used to be, how the glory days. And he said, when your memories exceed your dreams, the end is near. And I added the corollary—when your dreams exceed your memories, the future is bright.” What a great quote! You know, it’s good to look back and remember God’s faithfulness. The stories of what He’s done encourage us and build our faith. But we can’t stay there. God’s mission moves forward — and there are still so many who need to hear the Gospel. So let’s thank God for His faithfulness yesterday and keep working for His Kingdom today. Let’s keep sharing the Greatest News. To watch the full interview with Jim Sanders, visit sharelife.today.
Ambassadors For Christ

Ambassadors For Christ

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, says something every believer needs to remember: “We want them to know us by our love. We want be a good representative of the Lord. But more importantly, this is part of our mission.” You and I are called to be ambassadors for Christ — living examples of His love, grace, and truth in a world that desperately needs Him. When people see how we love, forgive, and serve, they get a glimpse of Jesus through us. But our mission doesn’t stop there. As we love, forgive, serve, and walk beside people, we share the Gospel with them. We can back up our actions with our words. There are so many we see everyday that are longing for the hope and peace found only through Jesus. So let’s represent Him well today — and take seriously this mission to share the Good News with everyone we can. To watch the full interview with Jim Sanders, visit our website at sharelife.today.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, has watched God turn ordinary days into extraordinary opportunities. He said, “As I've watched you over and over and over again, demonstrate how the Lord orchestrates—you would never imagine in a million years. And yet, if you're obedient and take that first step and get past that fear you might have, the result is incredible.” God’s Divine Appointments have been one of my favorite things to witness in my walk with God. He arranges moments that connect hearts and advance the Gospel in ways we could never plan on our own. So today, pause and ask the Lord to orchestrate your steps. He delights in aligning your path with someone who needs to hear about Jesus. And when He does, I’d encourage you to step out and share the Gospel. No Chance Meetings

No Chance Meetings

2025-10-1301:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, has seen God’s hand in the most unexpected moments. He said, “The fact that there are these divine serendipities, there are no chance meetings.” Every encounter—whether with a neighbor, a stranger in line, or someone sitting next to you—may be an appointment set by God Himself. I remember meeting a young man at a bus stop when I was out with a team in Arizona, who shared that he was just sitting there thinking about what was shared at his AA meeting, that having a relationship with God could change everything. He asked us if we knew what that meant. And we were able to share the Gospel with him. So the next time you meet someone unexpectedly, remember—it’s not coincidence, it’s divine design. So be ready to share the Gospel as God leads you! For resources to help you share the Gospel or to watch the full interview with Jim Sanders, visit sharelife.today
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Larry, who serves on the I Am Second Executive Team and is the Hollywood Liaison for Cru, told me about a remarkable moment with Justin Bieber. At one of his concerts, Justin stopped the show and said, “I want my pastor to come up and share more with you. But I thought, that is so powerful for Justin Bieber to do that, and to make a statement about, ‘Hey, Christ is important to me.’” Larry went on to explain the impact: when someone with influence takes a stand for Christ, people listen. Young fans who already love Bieber suddenly hear about a greater love — the love of Jesus Christ. And here’s the truth: you don’t have to be a pop star to make that kind of impact. Each of us has a platform we can use to share the Gospel. So today, use your influence to make a bold statement: “Christ is important to me.” For resources and to watch the full interview with Larry, visit our website at sharelife.today.
True Success

True Success

2025-10-0901:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Barry McGuire, the businessman behind McGuire’s Car Wax, had all the success he could ask for. But he discovered there was something even greater than building a company or seeing his name on products around the world. Barry shares about the joy he has found in his life: “When you bear fruit, then you're my disciple. Now you're there. My joy remain with you, and your joy will remain full. I mean, that's one of the great scriptures of the entire Bible. Who doesn't want to have their joy full every day!” Real joy doesn’t come from possessions or accomplishments — it comes from obedience to Christ. When we share the Gospel, our faith is strengthened, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, others are changed. So today, don’t miss out on the joy of living on mission. Look for opportunities to share the Gospel with someone God places in your path. To watch the full interview with Barry McGuire, visit our website at sharelife.today.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. When it comes to evangelism, Barry McGuire doesn’t mince words. He says, “I say, all of us are witnesses. Some of us are witnesses for the prosecution.” That should stop us in our tracks. If we know the hope of the Gospel, of what Jesus has done for us, but keep silent, we’re being witnesses for the wrong side. And in doing so, we may even be testifying against the very truth we claim to believe. But there’s another way. Barry shares, “It's how do we get as many people into heaven as we can in the amount of time we have left?” When we choose to open our mouths and point people to Christ through telling them the Good News of the Gospel, we become faithful witnesses for Him. So let’s reject apathy and fear and embrace the calling to witness. For resources to help you get started and to watch the full interview with Barry McGuire, visit our website at sharelife.today.
The Message Matters

The Message Matters

2025-10-0701:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. When Troy Miller, CEO of the National Religious Broadcaster, talks about media, he doesn’t just talk about technology — he talks about mission. He says, “And look at where we're at today, today, we can instantly communicate to anybody around the globe, um, right now from where we're sitting, Uh, we could be talking to anybody on any continent.” What a time to be alive and share Christ! Every conversation, every post, every interaction is an opportunity to point someone toward Christ and share the Gospel with them. And the message we share matters. The question isn’t whether you’re broadcasting a message. The question is: what message are you broadcasting? Every Christian has been called to take the Gospel to the world — and it starts with us sharing it with the people He has put in our own circle of relationships. So today, let’s choose to use the platforms God has given us to broadcast hope found in Jesus boldly. To watch the full interview with Troy Miller, visit sharelife.today.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Troy Miller, CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters, has seen firsthand how God can use media to reach the world. He says, “We make plans, but God does order our steps. I never thought that this kid from Nebraska Farm Boy techie would end up in Christian broadcasting, but I really feel like that’s what God trained me for 20-30 years ago. He had a plan for this—not me.” And that is so true—God has a plan for each of us to use whatever means we can—and in Troy’s case, media!—to share the Gospel with the world. So whether it’s online, over the airwaves, or in everyday conversations, the opportunity is right in front of us. But it’s up to us to be faithful to use the platforms God has given us. Let’s not wait—the best day to start is today. For resources to help you get started and to watch the full interview with Troy, visit our website at sharelife.today.
A Just Judge

A Just Judge

2025-08-2901:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Let's suppose I stood before a judge with fifty thousand parking tickets; and in my opportunity to speak, I asked the judge, "your Honor, would you please let me go? I promise I’ll be a perfect driver from now on." Do you think that judge should declare me free? If he or she did, they couldn’t be considered a just judge. The reason I share this illustration is that it is the same decision God is faced with when looking at our sin. Yes, He loves us and doesn't want to punish us; but on the other hand, He is just and must punish sin. Do you see the problem? Well, God solved this problem in the person of Jesus Christ, who lived an absolutely perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, and all we have to do is put our trust in Jesus alone to be declared righteous in God's sight. What amazing grace — that Jesus would do that for us! For more, visit our website at sharelife.today.
Never Failing Hope

Never Failing Hope

2025-08-2801:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Have you ever put your hope in another person? Well, if that person is trustworthy, it’s fine! But here's the problem with placing your hope in other people: sometimes, they let you down. But I am here to tell you that placing your hope in Jesus will never result in you being let down. Lamentations 3 says this: "Therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." What a wonderful thing, to know that your hope for eternal life in Heaven can be certain because Jesus is faithful! If you don't have this hope yet, look to Jesus. His mercies never fail. To learn more about this never-failing hope and to learn how pass it along to others, friends, relatives, coworkers...visit us at sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.
You Can Be Certain

You Can Be Certain

2025-08-2701:00

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. What are you completely certain about? You can be sure the sun will rise to the east and set to the west. You can be sure that one plus one will always equal two. And you can be absolutely certain that you cannot get into Heaven because of the good things you've done. Now, before you write that off as a calloused statement or simply an opinion, consider what the Bible says. The Bible tells us that no one is good, not even one. It also says to be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect. It is a real problem for us if no one is good, yet we are expected to be perfect. We simply cannot do it! This problem is solved by the Person of Jesus Christ who was both God and Man - perfect, just and full of grace. You can be certain that placing your faith in Jesus is enough for eternal salvation. Have you accepted that grace? Find out more by visiting sharelife.today.
