What starts as a content side hustle can soon become a burgeoning second career – if you know the roadmap to working with brands and cultivating a community that is. In this week’s episode, Dr. Lauryn is joined by Cubicle to CEO founder Ellen Yin to discuss all things content creation, brand partnerships, community building, and more.Ellen Yin's journey from "Cubicle to CEO®" began when she quit her corporate marketing job five years ago, without a backup plan. By continuously reinvesting her profits back into the business, she bootstrapped her initial $300 client project into over $2.5 million in revenue by the age of 29. To date, Ellen has mentored over 10,000 students through her online programs. She hosts the "Cubicle to CEO®" podcast every Monday— a top 100 entrepreneurship podcast where successful founders answer the business questions you can't find on Google.During their conversation, Dr. Lauryn and Ellen discuss the glamorization of entrepreneurship on social media, learning to speak the language of the brand you are working with, going beyond affiliate deals and sponsored content, how to avoid becoming a walking billboard, and much more!Learn more about Ellen, Cubicle to CEO, and her courses and offers.Join The C-Suite, a destination hub for small business CEOs of all industries!Cubicle to CEO Podcast: YouTube | Spotify | AppleFollow Ellen: Instagram |  LinkedIn– – – – – Sign up here to receive our monthly associate job postings email.Rate & subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!Join the Weekly Slay mailing list HEREIf you want to submit a question or have feedback, make sure to tell us:Website | Instagram | FacebookMentioned in this episode:Interested in Molly Cahill's Holistic Marketing Hub? Going from chiropractic student to actual practitioner is a big jump that can be scary, confusing, and full of obstacles. To tackle some of the most pressing questions young or soon to be chiropractors might have, Dr. Lauryn made an Instagram post a week ago asking the following, “if you’re a chiro student or new grad ask a question, if you’ve been in practice awhile answer a question.” There has been a ton of great advice and conversation going on in the comments of that post (so definitely check it out) and for this week’s solo show Dr. Lauryn has rounded up the 10 most asked questions from that post and answers them all herself. Topics covered include things school didn’t teach you that you wish they would have, deciding where to practice and at what volume, balancing work and life, imposter syndrome, and more!– – – – – Sign up here to receive our monthly associate job postings email.Rate & subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!Join the Weekly Slay mailing list HEREIf you want to submit a question or have feedback, make sure to tell us:Website | Instagram | FacebookMentioned in this episode:To learn more about CLA and the INSiGHT scanner go to the link below and enter code SHESLAYS when prompted.CLALearn more about Sunlighten Saunas and get your She Slays discount by clicking the link below!Sunlighten SaunasInterested in Molly Cahill's Holistic Marketing Hub? The fight to bring chiropractic and other natural health practices to the masses is ongoing and as urgent as ever given the many different health related crises facing our population. A fight like this needs great leaders if it is to continue making headway. In today’s episode, Dr. Lauryn is joined by one such great leader, Dr. Bradley Campbell, who is “Robin-Hooding” healthcare (don’t worry, he will explain) and transforming lives and (fingers crossed) health related industries in the process.Dr. Campbell is a unique physician, author, speaker, and musician. He is the only physician ever to be completing 10 natural healthcare degrees, giving him a unique way of viewing the big picture (holistic) perspective of health conditions. Dr. Campbell runs an integrated clinic just north of Chicago, IL where he works with in-person and virtual patients structurally, chemically, and emotionally to reveal the root causes of their health concerns.During their conversation, Dr. Lauryn and Dr. Bradley discuss his unique background, those many degrees he has and why he wanted to get them all, some of the health crises facing our population today, the first steps people can take towards more natural health, and a whole bunch more. Learn more about Dr. Bradley Campbell and how he is Robin-Hooding healthcare back to the masses.Buy Dr. Bradley’s book, Do I Have Adrenal Fatigue, on AmazonFollow Dr. Bradley: Instagram | LinkedIn | YouTube– – – – – Sign up here to receive our monthly associate job postings email.Rate & subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!Join the Weekly Slay mailing list HEREIf you want to submit a question or have feedback, make sure to tell us:Website | Instagram | FacebookMentioned in this episode:Get your FREE FOCUS Academy Kickstart Program by clicking the link below!Focus AcademyInterested in Molly Cahill's Holistic Marketing Hub? You’d think that after performing the literal miracle that is childbirth there would be an expansive and sophisticated support system in place to support moms throughout their next phase of life. Unfortunately, as many moms know, those resources and support systems can be hard to access for some, and all together non-existent for many others. Be it postpartum, sleep needs, potty training, getting back to work, or any number of other areas, Moms often find themselves overloaded with stresses and are way too often suffering in silence. In today’s episode, Dr. Lauryn is joined by a guest who is out to change all of that.Michelle Brown is the founder and CEO of Ihelpmoms.com, the platform offering on-demand parenting support, whose mission is to help all parents get the expert support they need to not only survive, but to thrive in parenthood. After suffering from debilitating postpartum depression, unable to breastfeed, she wondered where the heck is the village that’s supposed to support moms. Unable to find it, she created it. Michelle is not just the CEO of I Help Moms, but one of the practicing coaches you can find through the platform. As a certified Happiness Life Coach, Certified Doula and Certified CrossFit Coach, she loves working with moms to help them live in a consistent state of joy, internal peace & happiness. During the conversation Michelle fills in Dr. Lauryn on her journey having her first child that led to postpartum depression and ultimately the birth of I Help Moms. Then they get into how she built out the platform, where the coaches come from and what types of specialties are offered, how motherhood and careers can better coexist in present day, her belief in chiropractic and why it’s the perfect partner community for I Help Moms, and a whole bunch more.Learn more about I Help MomsGot a question or want info to share in your practice? As chiropractors, we’ve got to be willing to fight for our profession and our freedoms now as much as ever, just as the trailblazers of our industry did. To get the power of what chiropractic has to offer back into the mainstream we need to be ready to defend ourselves from misguided opposition, both external and internal. For this week’s episode, Dr. Lauryn is joined by a man doing exactly that, leading the fight to keep chiropractors free and chiropractic at the forefront of healthcare, Bharon Hoag.As he puts it himself, Bharon Hoag is chiropractic’s biggest groupie. He loves and believes in chiropractic so much that he has made it his life’s mission to make chiropractic the number one healthcare choice in the world. To take on that mission, Bharon co-founded One Chiropractic, a collective of Chiropractic’s most disruptive advocacy organizations. Arguably the most notable of those organizations, and the one spoken about at length during today’s episode, is The Chiropractic Defense Council. The Chiropractic Defense Council has a singular focus: protecting the rights of practicing chiropractors around the world. There has never been a dedicated organization whose singular focus is to defend the rights of chiropractors to practice within the scope of their license – until now. The Chiropractic Defense Council (CDC) functions as a 501(c6) non-profit that consists of a specialized team of legal experts and attorneys, supported by a team of industry experts in chiropractic research/literature, regulation and scope, as well as representative spokespeople and a contracted PR firm.During the conversation, Dr. Lauryn and Bharon discuss how to unite the chiropractic industry without sacrificing beliefs, shifting the messaging within chiropractic and how to better organize as a profession, how One Chiropractic and the CDC came about, some of the cases they have already fought and won, what the future holds, and much more. Donate now to the Chiropractic Defense CouncilLearn more about the Chiropractic Defense CouncilListen to the State of Chiropractic Podcast: Spotify | Apple – – – – – Sign up here to receive our monthly associate job postings email.Rate & subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!Join the Weekly Slay mailing list HEREIf you want to submit a question or have feedback, make sure to tell us:Website | Instagram | FacebookMentioned in this episode:Get your FREE FOCUS Academy Kickstart Program by clicking the link below!Focus AcademyInterested in Molly Cahill's Holistic Marketing Hub? Us chiropractors have some hard and fast beliefs and opinions that while rooted in truth and good intentions can at times create unrealistic standards that we hold ourselves to and unnecessary mindset burdens when things don’t go exactly the “right” way. The topic and act of giving birth is one area where these mental gymnastics come into play more often than not. For today’s episode, Dr. Lauryn starts by coining the idea of the “girl scout badges of chiropractic,” before welcoming on Dr. Lacey Nevel to discuss one of the most noteworthy of those badges: having a natural home birth. Dr. Lacey shares her own birthing story, and the two discuss ideas around what is “right” or “necessary” and how to live congruent with your beliefs while being ok with any positive outcomes. Dr. Lacey Nevel is a true wellness visionary wearing multiple hats. She’s the co-owner of Free Spirit Chiropractic with her husband, Dr. Colton Nevel. Along with running the practice, Dr. Lacey is the founder of The Start Up Lab for Chiropractors, where she and her team do coaching and workshops for chiropractors in their early days of opening their practices. And finally she is also the founder of Free Spirit Social for Chiropractors, where she provides social media coaching and tools to other chiropractors. Overall, Dr. Lacey is on a mission to elevate consciousness and authenticity for others inside and outside the chiropractic community! The conversation kicks off with some podcasters talking podcasting chat, burnout in chiropractic, and how to build up associates, before diving into Dr. Lacey’s background in the birthing community and her entire personal birthing story, and then close out with discussion on postpartum grief, making congruent decisions, why needing a specific outcome can backfire, and a whole bunch more related to the mindset around birthing for female chiropractors.New chiropractor at the beginning of your journey? Community events have long been a staple of the chiropractic industry and once upon a time they were super straightforward to run and make effective! Today however, not so much! Marketing has transformed over the last decade and nowadays getting people to actually ATTEND an event is much more complicated. To tackle this problem, this week Dr. Lauryn is joined by Marketing & Launch Strategist Brenna McGowan to break down anticipation marketing and all things getting butts in seats (or on screen) for your next event.Brenna McGowan is a launch strategist, copywriter and creator of Anticipation Marketing. She helps coaches, course creators, and high end service providers increase launch revenue, call in perfect fit clients, and reduce launch burnout with a strategic pre launch. During their conversation Dr. Lauryn and Brenna cover what anticipation marketing is, how and why to leverage an email list, marketing to different personality types, selling belief vs selling outcomes, keeping everything in alignment, and so much more!Check out Brenna’s website if you want to sell smarter with less hectic launchesGet Brenna’s Pre-Launch Plan Cheat SheetFollow Brenna: LinkedIn | Instagram | Facebook– – – – – Sign up here to receive our monthly associate job postings email.Rate & subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!Join the Weekly Slay mailing list HEREIf you want to submit a question or have feedback, make sure to tell us:Website | Instagram | FacebookMentioned in this episode:Go from surviving to thriving with Genesis Chiropractic Software. We’ve all felt the friction between holistic health practices and our modern medical systems and procedures (certainly as chiropractors we are quite familiar with it). One area where this friction is potentially felt the most is in the most sacred of human miracles: childbirth. How and when you have a baby these days can seemingly be dictated by every factor except what the mother is feeling or truly experiencing. Joining Dr. Lauryn this week is a guest who is working hard to empower mothers to take back their power and decision making, Dr. Nathan Riley.Dr. Nathan Riley is a board-certified home birth OBGYN and the founder of the Born Free Method, where you are emboldened to embody the essence of parenthood and experience birth on your terms. He’s been through it all within his portion of the medical field and has an immense amount of wisdom to share from his experiences. During their conversation, Dr. Nathan first shares his path within the medical community, before he and Dr. Lauryn discuss who sets the policies in hospitals and how maternity care has developed over time in the US, why giving the mother choice is paramount to healthy outcomes, changing the medical system, and much more.Learn more about the Born Free Method program here. Check out the Holistic OBGYN Podcast: YouTube | Spotify | AppleFollow Dr. Nathan: Instagram | Twitter – – – – – To join the waiting list for the Multipassionate Chiropreneur, visit here.Sign up here to receive our monthly associate job postings email.Rate & subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!Join the Weekly Slay mailing list HEREIf you want to submit a question or have feedback, make sure to tell us:Website | Instagram | FacebookMentioned in this episode:Get your FREE FOCUS Academy Kickstart Program by clicking the link below!Focus AcademyTo learn more about Sked visit the link below!Sked
It’s a brand new year and She Slays the Day is kicking things off with a bang, as Dr. Lauryn is joined this week by Dr. Brian Capra, founder of Genesis Chiropractic Software, to discuss the chiropractic industry at large and how you, and those who work with you, can all find more freedom, profitability, and impact within your work.Dr. Brian built a successful practice in Princeton, NJ, but along the way discovered a fundamental flaw in traditional chiropractic software. He sought a solution outside chiropractic, and wound up creating alongside his team the first and only enterprise level Patient Experience Technology. In the nearly two decades that have followed, Dr. Brian and his team at Genesis Chiropractic Software have helped hundreds of practices across the country improve their retention, revenue, compliance and team productivity. During their conversation Dr. Lauryn and Dr. Brian discuss the need for more business training inside chiro schools, why profitability (and not volume) is the number that matters, how technology for chiropractors has changed over the years and why you need to be using it, the different paths within Chiropractic and how to find freedom on any of them, and much more.Follow Dr. Brian: LinkedInFollow Genesis: YouTube | LinkedIn  – – – – – To join the waiting list for the Multipassionate Chiropreneur, visit here.Sign up here to receive our monthly associate job postings email.Rate & subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!Join the Weekly Slay mailing list HEREIf you want to submit a question or have feedback, make sure to tell us:Website | Instagram | FacebookMentioned in this episode:Get your FREE FOCUS Academy Kickstart Program by clicking the link below!Focus AcademyTo learn more about Sked visit the link below!Sked

Why are so many chiropractors afraid of selling? If we believe that what we do changes lives dramatically for the better, then how come we are not out telling anyone and everyone we can about the transformational power of chiropractic? Being a better messenger, storyteller, speaker, and yes - salesperson - is essential for every chiropractor, and with today’s episode of She Slays the Day Dr. Lauryn is bringing in a guest who knows exactly how to coach chiros up into being the best speakers and advocates that they can be. For the final “regular” episode of 2023, Dr. Lauryn is joined by Roberto Monaco to discuss everything related to speaking, messaging, selling, and more. Roberto Monaco has been a full-time speaker, coach and trainer since 2002, and has conducted more than 4,200 presentations in countries across the globe. He worked for the Anthony Robbins Companies for six years where he was not only the top revenue generator of the year in four of those years, but also spent the final four of those years teaching and coaching all the other speakers in the company. Many call Roberto the honorary DC (doctor of conversions) because he has helped so many chiropractors to convert thousands of patients into care. He has served chiropractors for the last 6 years, showing them how to convert more clients through speaking. He has quickly become the “go-to” speaking coach for the top Chiropractic advocates in the industry.During their conversation Roberto and Dr. Lauryn get into the negative mindset many chiros have around selling, why you need to not just believe in the power of chiropractic but your power to deliver it to people, having fears of judgment and rejection, how to get butts in seats for health talks, and so much more. To get your FREE copy of Roberto’s Stories That Sell course, click here. Interested in having Roberto as your coach? Price increase. Those two words have such a stigma attached to them in the chiropractic industry and tend to be associated with fear, discomfort, and confusion when the reality is that they absolutely shouldn’t!For this week’s episode, Dr. Lauryn is joined by Dr. Nikki Cottis to discuss when, how, and why they have each implemented price increases over the last year, and answer some of the most common questions they both receive about this topic. Dr. Nikki is a chiropractor in Gulf Shores, Alabama where she’s been practicing for 11 years and also works as a business coach for the Black Diamond Club, empowering other chiropractors to build successful practices and reach their full potential. She also just so happens to be a graduate of last year's Multipassionate Chiropreneur program, so stick around until the end of the episode to hear her thoughts on her experience going through MPC with Dr. Lauryn last year.During the discussion, Dr. Lauryn and Dr. Nikki tackle why you need to break free from vanity metrics, discuss how you decide it's the right time for a price increase, how to figure out the new price point to offer, who to grandfather in, how to communicate the decision to staff and patients alike, and a whole bunch more on this topic.Interested in Dr. Nikki as a coach?
