Ted Furman has been called many names; “Abe Lincoln of craft beer”, ‘The OG Brewmaster”, “Godfather”. The fact is, the man is a living legend in the craft beer scene in Chicago and the Midwest. Not only did he start Golden Prairie Brewing back in 1990, but he has also helped launch the careers of some of the most well-known brewers in the Midwest. Now Ted finds him as Brew Master at ARGUS Brewery in Chicago and is resurrecting some of the old favorite Golden Prairie brews in the same spot. Teddy sat down with the Godfather and his Head Brewer Byron Moore for an episode down memory lane and into the present. Paul Ciciora knew he liked great craft beer, but didn’t know how to brew it.  So, he gathered some of the finest talent in Chicagoland and he, along with his partners opened up Pollyanna Brewing Co. in Lemont, IL. From Porters, to Ales, to Stouts and even a Malt Liquor, Pollyanna is steadily growing and creating quite a name for itself.
