Yep, we’re talking about this election… the one everyone seems to be dreading. We talk third parties, Hillary, Trump, the madness and more.
Chris Spangle joins us to talk about the recent changes on the Bob and Tom Show including the return of Kristi Lee. We also talk about the upcoming election and Chris’ Libertarian leanings and whether a 3rd party candidate has a chance in a race between two candidates that many people are loathing.
In this episode we talk about moving out of the country, GenCon and what it brings to the city, the State Fair and why Hammer won’t dare go on the rides, Vegas and what a shit show it has become, and of course the NFL and why the preseason is useless.
Carlos Mencia joins us on a rare night when Hammer is absent and Nigel shows up (hell has frozen over, we know). Carlos talks about getting started, his show “Mind of Mencia” and how he received the best and worst news while doing that show. We discuss why he became one of the most hated comedians on the internet and then Mencia tears down the establishment while paving the way for newer comedians who have to go through the same ordeal as him. Before he leaves he fires one last shot down the throat of a comedian who decided to throw stones while living in a glass house.
We then turn our attention to guest host Matt Pelsor, formerly of X/ALT103 and now joining the ranks of Public Radio. He talks about the shift from doing his own thing in voiceover work to working for the public radio system and how it’s been his dream to get into his sector.
At the end of the night we talk a bit with Asher from Big Guy Signs and Wraps and how he does big and small jobs wrapping vehicles, creating signs for businesses and even banners for events. If there’s something you need, he will take care of you.
The ladies of Hit Locker strike back at one of Kelly’s ex-boyfriends with a new parody song based off of Train’s 50 Ways to Say Googbye. Isis and Kelly are amped in this episode as we take down exes, talk about Isis’ background of singing in español and more.
Back in the Creative Zombie Studios, Hammer and Nigel discuss the viability of Nigel’s claim to quite drinking once again (spoiler alert… he can’t stay away from the booze).
We also discuss naming rights to Producer BS’ studio, fights in the podcast group, hatred is fun and then the biggest bombs of them all… the Bridal Diaper which leads beautifully into Nigel’s pee bomb story.
We are coming to you live from Indy Pop Con 2016 with Kristi Lee and ECW Wrestler Tommy Dreamer. We talk about the real effects of wrestling and what Tommy would do differently if he were starting his career today.
Tommy takes us through some of the most dangerous stunts he ever did as a wrestler, including a move that could have unknowingly electrocuted him and taken out a building.
We also talk about what life is like for a man with twins and how that has changed his life. Also find out what non Tommy Dreamer-esque thing he participates in.
Mark Braska, a native of Brown County, became “local famous” during Carb Day when he made WISHTV’s coverage of odd and strange people at the track. His notoriety continued to be bolstered by coverage on the front page of the Indy Star and then with the front page of the USA Today… all because of his jorts and winning attitude.
In this train wreck of an episode (think David Letterman and Joaquin Phoenix) Hammer talks to Mark and Nigel bails sending this into one of the most uncomfortable interviews yet in the history of Hammer and Nigel.
Carl Doninger, el Presidente of Indy Pop Con, saves the show as we gear up for the Hammer and Nigel Live show at Indy Pop Con. We talk all things cons and get Mark Braska’s unique perspective on co-splayers, geeks, and more.
Shane Priddy, owner of Family Time Games and former Navy Seal, stops by to talk about Operation Supply Drop, what it takes to be a Navy Seal, spending time with Family and more.
We also have a Phil Mikesell of Indy Pop Con stopping by to talk about the convention.
We talk Indy 500, banging Vegas pit bosses, Nigel pissing off David Dearing, and how Tony Donohue, from 1070 the Fan, doesn’t watch virgin shit (ie Game of Thrones, Comic Book Movies, the TV Show Gotham, etc).
It’s a fiery episode with Tony D speaking his mind on everything including throwing drivers under the bus and more.
We are joined by friend of the show Corey Cox as we talk about our favorite 500 moments (generally speaking they all involve heavy drinking and the atmosphere that the 500 brings with it).
Filling in for Nigel we have guest host Heather Stopczynski from 97.1 HankFM.
Unfortunately we don’t stop with the 500 talk and the rabbit hole that is the Hammer and Nigel show finds out what it is like to bong vodka and whiskey and what he result happens to be, as well as travel along Heather’s trip to Vegas for her friends’ bachelorette party.
Mike Gardner tours the country but lives in Indiana which means he can enjoy life with the paycheck of a traveling comic. Citing that most comics head to the coasts pay a lot of money on housing so they can travel to the Midwest there are some downsides however.
We also talk about hack radio DJs, his inspiration for becoming a comic and being a road comic with a kid.
Rob Kendall, former Brownsburg Councilman, discusses his one on one interview with Republican presumptive nominee for President, Donald Trump. We find out how he got such an intimate interview even though the bigger named news agencies did not.
Nigel eventually shows up to the show that was recorded at the Creative Zombie Studios.
Kristi has all the time in the mornings to watch the news, get her kids off to school and shovel Nigel’s driveway in a snow storm. We talk about her new life where mornings begin at 6:20am instead of 4:00am.
We also talk about her days as an NBA sideline reporter, her troubling height difference and why she found herself in some hot water with the Pacers by being innovative during broadcasts. We also find out who called her out during a press conference. Plus we find out what a “handler” is.
Finally we find out what Kristi Lee drinks and what is in her medicine cabinet and we break some news about a Love Brothers Reunion and their new uncensored bit.
Kevin Winton and David Roth are coming together to walk across America from New Jersey to California raising money for Helping Hands for Freedom, a charity helping Military Children and Families through emotional and financial support. FInd out about the Route for the Brave and what it means for the military community.
We talk to David about what it’s like to leave his job at the IMPD to take on this journey. What it means for his family and why he is doing it.
We talk with Kevin about what it was like teaching a young Jason Hammer math at Beech Grove High School. If Hammer has turned out better or worse than he thought.
We also find out if the Walmart where the Beech Grove Walmart fight happened is truly in Beech Grove, Indianapolis, or if it matters at all.
Morty’s Comedy Joint has moved from behind the shadows of a Sushi restaurant and into the bowels of an old Mexican restaurant. Complete with balcony and wisecracking hecklers Statler and Waldorf.
Chris joins the show talking about their move, how he became owner of a comedy club, etc. He talks about how divorce led to comedy, why people are insane if they think these are the worst of times and why he hasn’t had a vegetable in the last 20 years.
Comedian, Ari Shaffir, talks mushroom trips and why Nigel should do the shrooms. We then go on a trip down memory lane as Nigel tried to figure out the ins and outs of finding shrooms and the amount you should take.
As Ari leaves for his show at Crackers Comedy Club, where he’ll be all weekend, the First Lady of Rock, Laura Steele, steps in to talk about her new TV career and life after the radio world.
As the 100th running of the Indy 500 approaches, we dive into the interesting history of the 500 and WISHTV’s 108 days of the 500.
We wind up at the Creative Zombie Studios instead of Coaches Tavern with special guest host Matt Pelsor filling in for Hammer. Only a few minutes in, Nigel takes a call from his wife and we go on a journey to find out exactly how she continues to emasculate him and how he spends his days while she is away on business (it’s lazier than you could ever imagine).
We then delve into the story of Producer BS getting trapped in a cave during Matt’s bachelor party.
Then we end the night talking the lawsuit with a former ESPN reporter and her unfortunate hotel stay, as well as the Academy Awards and whether Marcus thinks there’s a white wash or even if he cares.
Marcus takes the reigns from Nigel for the night as we talk steroids, Kanye West, fallen sports heroes and politics.
We delve into Kanye’s financial troubles and seek to find out why so many people have donated to a douchebag millionaire on GoFundMe.
We also Peyton Manning, the one sided hit piece and why we are surprised people don’t think that there are skeletons in his closet.
We finish the night with politics, especially the Pope taking on Trump and wondering if people understand that free has to be paid for somewhere.
We start the show off with a lively discussion about the Cam Newton outrage with Marcus on one side and everyone else on the other. We switch topics to our guests, the band Hit Locker who talk about their events, dating and more.
Somewhere the show derails in between Hit Locker songs and we wind up on a trip down TV memory lane with some new takes on their theme songs.
