Halloween Party!

2026-09-2807:57

On October 31st at 7 PM, Ben Champagne is throwing a Halloween party at one of the coolest venues in the city (115 N. Hamilton)! It's probably been 20 years since this building has had music here, and Ben is brining it back with performances by  Pesky Kid, Elephant Den, and DJ Dirty Mike.  Bring a costume and a donation to enter!
In this episode of Sidewalk Talks, Marcus Kapp breaks down what he does: tailoring everyday clothing, creating custom pieces, and working toward his first one-of-one bespoke suit. Marcus shares how he got started at a local big-box store, learned under a master tailor, and fell in love with the craft—especially how great fit boosts confidence. They talk about what separates true tailoring from simply knowing a sewing machine, how fabric weight and proportions matter, and how to build a simple “capsule” wardrobe without overthinking it. The conversation also highlights Old Town’s supportive small-business community and where to find Marcus on Instagram, Facebook, or in person.00:00 Meeting Marcus00:49 What Marcus Does01:38 How He Started Tailoring04:09 Confidence and Clothing05:31 What Makes a Great Tailor06:36 Building a Simple Wardrobe07:55 Custom Pieces Process08:30 Old Town Roots and Vibe09:31 Saginaw Community Support11:22 Where to Find Capture11:46 Tailoring Beyond Suits12:47 Final Thanks and Wrap
