It was over. For what could have been around ten years, David had run for his life from the maniacal, insecure, paranoid, homicidal King Saul. He couldn’t even sleep in his own bed because Saul sent his goons to bring him in so Saul could take him out. But it’s over now. Soon he would be King David.
