Parents can contribute to their childs problems when they try to befriend their kids. Listen as we discuss positive and negative parenting.
Nov. 25 - Being a Proud Single Father
Tommy Maloney is a highly successful trainer, and coach who has worked with companies such as CBS Radio, DR. Pepper/Snapple Group, United Rentals and State Farm. Tommy’s company Tommy Maloney International LLC is his business where his niche is about helping dads stay connected with their kids after a divorce. Not only has Tommy lived through this as a child of divorce but also as a parent. Tommy speaks and writes about this topic in his own and unique way.
Note from Tommy: My name is Tommy Maloney, I am all about serving you and helping out kids who have or are going through a divorce. In my past I watched my parents’ marriage dissolve right in front of my eyes. I was 5 years old at the time and ironically so was my son when I was asked for a divorce. I want to help dads understand that the days of getting a pack of smokes and not coming back is a thing of the past.

Effective parenting skills are displayed clearly through a consistent parenting approach.
Clear, firm, consistent parenting is quality parenting. I believe being a consistent parent is both vitally important and totally necessary to ensure a happy family life.
In fact I would go so far as to state that I believe clear, consistent parenting produces well adjusted children and parents. This creates a happy family.
Do your children whine and grizzle? Are you a push over and easily manipulated by them? Do you walk on egg shells around your children in order to maintain peace? How often do you give in after saying no? Are you in charge or do your children run your household?
Children learn best by being given clear, firm and consistent directions from parents who are clear, firm and consistent in their approach.
