GOing on your first mission trip? Don't know what to pack? Always wanted to go on a mission trip and are nervous? This episode should be like a warm hug.
My name is Gabrielle Denise I am an author and a RadioShowhost turned podcaster.
When I went on my first mission trip back in March of 2023, I made a lot of mistakes. Mission trips are awkward because they are not exactly a vacation but they are not exactly a camping trip either. So you end up wrestling about what to bring. Somewhere in this episode I hid an in depth list of some things that you NEED to bring if you want to be
comfortable on the trip. I forgot these things and… It was bad.

Who are called to be missionaries? Is it only the Super Christians? Is it only the people who are latter day saints? We discuss this topic and more in today's episode of Singled Out.
Today we are accompanied by the talented leader with the best heart Jeanne. Jeanne is the leader of Acteens, a group that focuses on getting teens involved in the missions ministry.
In Matthew 22:14, God says “many are called, but few are chosen”. This can be
easy to adopt when it comes to all areas of our lives. But the truth is that we
are all called to be missionaries, but what type we are meant to be is determined by a few factors. This is what we discuss in today’s episode. We also discuss the topic of whether youth need spaces for their own.
Our address is 15 W Washington Street near Newnan. You can find out more information on our website. If you go to sbcnewnan.org, you'll be able to find more out about ACTEENS. If you look under our Our Ministries program for our students and youth, you'll find out more information about us there.

Do you have to travel outside of the United States to do Missionary work? Find out the answer in today’s episode (the answer WILL surprise you).
Today we are joined by special guest Michelle who is the leader
of the Girls in Action Group. She is passionate about youth getting out to do
missions work.
1 Timothy 4:12 warns believers to not let anyone despise them because of their youth. Many of the participants in the Girls in Action group are in 5th grade and below and it is important for them to get involved in ministry. Why you may ask? Michelle and I explore this topic and its nuances in this episode. October is Missionary Month here at Singled Out and I am excited to explore the topic of missions with you!

I remember the night my friend called and told me that they were going to end their life. At that moment I had a choice, and every moment counted
My name is Gabrielle Denise and I am an author and RadioShowhost turned podcaster.
In today’s show, I am going to talk not only about how I talked my friend down that night and played a role in saving their life but also tips on how to recognize that someone is considering attempting to end their life. This is a serious topic, so if you are sensitive to things like this, feel free to skip this episode. But for those who are not, I implore you to
listen because knowing these things can be integral to helping someone live.

Do you have trauma? Is your life imperfect? What if I told you that God can use all of those things for your good? The good news is that he not only has the power to do so, but he will.
Today we are joined by Netanya Jefferies, the leader and founder of the Healing of
the Mind. A black owned and centered group that focuses on healing the trauma of
women through talk therapy and community.
God doesn’t like to see us in pain. We are his children, and he loves it when we are content and satisfied. However, a life where we are always satisfied is a life without the need for our loving father. But this doesn’t mean that we have to stay in our pain. This is something that we are discussing in this episode. How do you have and heal trauma without letting it become your whole identity? "Mental illness is neither a punishment from God for sin, nor a sign of His absence. ~ Nettanya Jefferies’’

September is Suicide Awareness Month and there is one suicide death every 10.9 minutes in the United States
In today’s episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Michelle Anderson who witnessed the impact of suicide firsthand when she lost her son JJ
to suicide. This led her to create the nonprofit organization JJ’s Hello which
provides resources and assistance to those who are in her same or similar
shoes.
In this episode, we discussed the stunning impact that saying Hello
can have on someone. In the prior episode, we discussed how easy it can be to
get so wrapped in yourself that you forget other’s exist. But you could inspire
someone to live another day by just saying hello and that is one of the
powerful things we discussed in this episode.

Should You mentor a child? Maybe this is something you never thought about.
In today’s episode we have the pleasure of speaking with Jason Walton, the leader of the Mentorship program for the Coweta school system at Foundation Church.
So, why mentor a child? We live in a very egocentric world today. Most of us walk around thinking about ourselves. How can we succeed? How can we be comfortable? And how can we do better? Though there is nothing wrong with us, God calls us in Hebrews 13:16 to share what we have with others. When we do, we also get a benefit from it.

Your daily routine is probably disrupting your hormones. But- I have good news ~
you can fix it.
Today we are talking with the young, successful black entrepreneur Taryn who is the owner of RynAly Beauty, a skincare brand focused on making hormone-friendly products for women of all ages and skin complexions.
One of the biggest questions asked on Google today is “How to balance hormones as a
woman?” People are figuring out that as women we have a much more complicated
cycle than men, and as such we are much more sensitive to products.
However, this does not mean that we should go full crunchy- and get rid of every product in our carousel that is not 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free. So how do you balance your hormones while also keeping your sanity?

Have you ever told a white lie? Maybe it didn’t have immediate consequences, but there is a chance that you paid for it either through guilt or through the energy exerted to keep up the lie.
My name is Gabrielle Denise and I am an author, podcaster, and RadioShowhost turned podcaster. In today’s episode, we are going to be talking about truth. Particularly whether
or not we should tell the truth even if it hurts. In this podcast episode, you
won’t be shamed for telling a little white lie (we all have at one point), but
instead you will learn encouragement and how to tell the truth in a way that
honors God.
