Tyrese Maxey led a 10-0 surge to send the game to overtime, before taking over for good in the extra frame as the Sixers completed a 19-point comeback to improve to a perfect 4-0 on the season. Joel Embiid, still playing under a minutes restriction, chipped in with his best offensive game of the season, and Quentin Grimes' huge second half helped shoulder some of the scoring burden off of Maxey's shoulders late. Maxey continues to set the new standard with his second 40-point night through three games -- tonight without Joel Embiid and Dominick Barlow against the Magic. Sixers' 39-point fourth quarter fuels another comeback in a 125-121 win over the Charlotte Hornets, improving to 2-0. Quentin Grimes hit the game-winning three pointer with 15 seconds to play, giving the 76ers the lead for good as he finished the night with 24 points in 30 minutes off the bench. Andre Drummond was tremendous in the fourth, hitting the glass and with some timely buckets, finishing with seven points and 13 rebounds in 15-plus minutes. Tyrese Maxey led all scorers with 28, connecting on four made 3s. The Philadelphia 76ers got a combined 74 points from Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe as the Sixers made a fourth quarter comeback to secure the HUGE opening night road win over the Boston Celtics, 117-116.
