In the world of instant gratification where the hardest skate tricks can be seen via social media and then lost in a day it can be refreshing to take a step back. With that being said, I grew up watching all the SEC videos: Dustin Hart, Gary Sargent, Jordan Smith, Cory Gunn, Nick Palucci... Those were the dudes I wanted to skate like! With that being said, I heard Jordan was leaving Atlanta and moving to Portland, Oregon, so I knew I had to get him on the show. I had talked to Jordan briefly in passing, but never had a full conversation with him. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. What I found was a down to earth dude who genuinely loves skateboarding and wants to have the most fun possible skating and filming with his friends. Jordan's been the guy on both sides of the counter at the shop, filmed more than a few street parts, had a few interviews in magazines, but continues to skate for the right reasons. Best of luck in your travels to Oregon and keep killing it. Here's a little insight into the guy with the damn good switch back tails. He's no IPA guy. Enjoy! We all remember the hometown heros we grew up watching. The guy at the park that killed it harder than anyone and made you want to take a step back and just sit down and watch them skate. With this being said, I grew up watching Fletcher and Jr. skate at Progressive Skatepark. To me, they were pro. They inspired me as a kid to push my own skating as well as a lot of others who skated the park and looked up to them. Fletcher and Jr. have done a lot for skateboarding throughout the years and have taken many opportunities because of skating. Whether it is a contest, local video, or a skate lesson these guys live skateboarding. In this episode we discuss some of the opportunities they have taken over the years: highs and lows, east-coast/west-coast, video parts, sponsorships, and plenty more... I hope you guys enjoy!
