Welcome to another episode of the Small Steps BIG Wins podcast! Today’s special guest is Dave Homyak. Dave’s first entrepreneurial project was an immediate success, replacing his 6-figure Engineer’s income in less than a year by purchasing short term rentals in one of the best markets out there – the Smoky Mountains. While the Smoky Mountains were an especially hot market at the time, part of Dave’s success came from his ability to make well-researched and calculated decisions. He didn’t live anywhere near the Smoky Mountains for example – but he knew that was the market to go for. In the years that followed, Dave became a licensed real estate agent so that he could help others find high-performing properties of their own, then coach them through the harsh learning curve of STR property management. Dave’s natural student-like enthusiasm for embracing out new and exciting opportunities has allowed him to expand his entrepreneurial portfolio beyond real estate with the creation of his company, The Rockstar VA’s.
