This week, in Guide Rock, Nebraska, the drama in multiple tumultuous relationships begins to boil over due to alcohol, anger, and close living quarters. People seem to pair off for the express purpose of bickering. Eventually, it's too much to take, and the result ends up being a dead body, hastily hidden under some boards. What follows is pure insanity, including a show down with an angry mob at a Wal-Mart parking lot. Words can't express this weirdness!!Along the way, we find out we know nothing about horse shows, that it's really hard to have a fist fight in the back seat of a car, and that you can't keep changing your murder story, if you want to be taken seriously!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! Donate at: patreon.com/crimeinsports or go to paypal.com & use our email: crimeinsports@gmail.com Go to shutupandgivememurder.com for all things Small Town Murder & Crime In Sports! Follow us on... twitter.com/@murdersmall facebook.com/smalltownpod instagram.com/smalltownmurder Also, check out James & Jimmie's other show, Crime In Sports! This week, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, a woman disappears, while her truck is found, with the engine running, and her perfectly safe, 2 year old son inside. As police try to solve the mystery of where she could be, many questions arise... Mostly, does this have anything to do with a sexually adventurous married couple she knows? He ex? An unknown enemy? Michael Jordan? Oddly enough, all of these options need to be explored, and it turns out even weirder than expected! Buckle up! Along the way, we find out that gravity apparently has something to do with sugar, that you don't have to marry everyone you meet on the internet, and that Michael Jordan may, in fact, be a cold blooded murderer!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! This week, in Houma, Louisiana, a series of unfortunate events derail a man's life, after he had done so much to turn it around. Family troubles, money troubles, and his wife having an affair with the playboy owner of the local country western bar really push him over the edge. So far, that the result is a bloody trailer, and multiple dead people? How could this happen? How did it escalate? And will they actually dust off "Gruesome Gertie", the state's old electric chair? This is a wild one!!Along the way, we find out that there are actually places south of New Orleans, that you shouldn't date people that you meet in rehab, and maybe you shouldn't tell everyone you know about how no one knows you committed a murder!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! This week, in Newry, Maine, a picturesque bed & breakfast in the hills of ski country is the setting of unbelievable horrors, as more bodies keep being revealed. The question isn't so much who did it. That is answered quickly by the responsible party, but why did he do it? And exactly what is wrong with this guy? It's an odd story that seems straight from Stephen King novel!Along the way, we find out that Maine people get drunker in the spring, that you must respect someone when they say they'll only tell a story one time, and that maybe you just shouldn't follow trails of blood that lead into the woods!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! This week, in Townville, South Carolina, police are surprised when a man comes into the station, covered in blood, and claiming to have just killed three people in a remote area. The biggest surprise is his claim of self defense, and the twisted tale that says lead up to the deaths. This one goes all over the place, before settling on a meth fueled, septic tank fixing tirade that left three dead. Just when you think this one is over... More crazy pops up, seemingly from thin air!!Along the way, we find out meth makes you not be able to fix things, that some people just may wear condoms with the expectation of later usage, and that some situations don't lend themselves well to claims of self defense!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! This week, in White Earth, Minnesota, a simple trip into the woods to go "syrupin'" ends in a well liked guy, being found, face down in the mud. There are quite a few suspects, due to the family's overcrowded living conditions, but in the end, one person, who doesn't even live with the victim begins to stand out. But did he do it? Or, was he trying to get bank loans, to start a "leeching business", while the murder occurred? Help us untangle this mess!!Along the way, we find out there is an awful lot that goes into making syrup, that leeches sound like a bad investment for a bank, and that nothing in rural Minnesota is what it seems!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! This week, in Garden City, Idaho, where a local man disappears into thin air. His family is worried, but is he just on vacation? Is he having a good time? Or, is is something more sinister? The only person who may be able to answer these questions is a much younger woman, who happens to be living in his house. Where is he? Who is she? This is a wild story!!Along the way, we find out that country musicians have interesting names, that men are much less likely to ask a beautiful woman too many questions, and when you kill someone, try not to live in their house!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! This week, in Magnolia, Texas, a man has a terrible track record with romantic involvements, until he finally finds a someone to marry, and settle down with. Problem is, his incapacity to have a nice relationship results in this marriage falling apart. This may have all worked out, except that his now ex-wife moved in with somebody else... Right across the street. Needless to say, guns, violence, and a karate outfit are what comes next! This is a wild one!Along the way, we find out Texans love to move whole towns, that your past relationships are a very good predictor of future ones, and that you should never threaten suicide while wearing a child's karate outfit!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! This week, in Duchesne, Utah, a man who has always had trouble with the law, gets angry when some a couple that he knows may have wronged him. This anger turns to an almost cartoon like plot to not only kill, but to dispose of these people in a manner worthy of Looney Toons. All in all, there are foreign accomplices, shootings, burials, explosions, and a full grown African ion, kept as a pet. Did we mention that this story is insane??Along the way, we find out that Mormons didn't settle all of Utah, that The Sundance Kid may have died here... or not, and that dynamite is not the most efficient way to get rid of unwanted, non-living human beings!!Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman New episodes every Thursday! "Valium was in everything, food that I ate The water that I drank, fuckin' peas on my plate She sprinkled just enough of it to season my steak So every day I'd have at least three stomachaches Now tell me, what kind of mother would want to see her Son grow up to be an undera-fuckin'-chiever?"

So anyone else notice that if you don't have the new commercials viewable on your screen the episodes start to stream really poorly until you pull back up the player with commercials streaming?

So I'm only on episode 18, and so far their interruptions in the middle of episodes to read ads is REALLY getting on my nerves. Can anyone tell me if they stop doing that shit later on? Other than that I love it so far.

Ricky Ford They've recently started pitching their ad-free versions on Stitcher Premium! I've not tried it myself and don't know if they retroactively edit old episodes, but you might try it if the ads are bugging you.
