Everyone's getting older, including Sydney and Jes. We discuss people who "made it" after age 30 and discover a fun fact about some of the actors on the show.
We made it through season 1!! Escobar Gallardo is the most badass criminal ever, Sean and Julia break up AGAIN, and Liz continues to be cool as a cucumber under pressure. We also discuss the presidential election and how our lives have generally been going since quarantine began.
Jes and Sydney are back from an impromptu break with exciting news, and discussion of an episode featuring everyone's favorite Columbian drug lord.
Jes and Sydney try to take an unofficial Nip/Tuck quiz and encounter some surprisingly transphobic quotation marks. We also discuss a patient with multiple personalities, Sean's grief, Gina's pregnancy, and the fun, fun task of looking for work in a COVID-19 job market.
Jes and Sydney talk about the saddest episode of Nip/Tuck yet, including the incredible character development for everyone. Sean goes through all five stages of grief, Bobolit is the human embodiment of “C’s get degrees,” and Christian comes to terms with his giant, rugged man hands. Mrs Grubman is back with a new husband this week, for comic relief in an otherwise extremely intense episode.CW: suicide mentions throughout
Jes and Sydney discuss episodes 8 and 9 of Nip/Tuck including Christian Scientists, abusive parents, and that weird Hollywood trope where people undress back-to-back before doin' it.
Sydney and Jes reminisce about the good ol’ days before you-know-who was president, wonder if you actually have to be turned on to get a boner, and crown this episode’s Biggest Asshole. For the first time ever, it’s not Sean!
The kids are having a threesome, Sean's cheating on Julia, and Christian's doing his best to woo an old(ish) flame. Sydney and Jes discuss all this, and then answer some would-you-rather questions that might make you cringe!
This week we battle executive dysfunction and deep-dive into Christian’s sex addiction and Sean’s constant, relentless assholery. This episode also includes the first appearance of one of our favorite characters, Gina! Finally, we discuss the age-old question: what’s better, cheese or peanut butter?
This week we dive into gender identity and Sex Reassignment Surgery while discussing McNamara/Troy’s first transgender patient, Sofia Lopez. Sydney the social worker psychoanalyzes and diagnoses Sean, and Jes the professional surgery patient is finally satisfied with the recovery time Christian quotes for a procedure.

Nanette Babcock pinpoints exactly how it feels to be an outcast, Mrs. Grubman wears an absolutely offensively colored lingerie set, and Matt’s botched home circumcision may have had no point at all. We also speculate that if we don’t continue quarantining, Halloween might be ruined! So we implore you to stay inside for the sake of Gay Christmas. #listentoscientists #savegaychristmas

Are psychologically damaged teen twins stable enough to get plastic surgery? The answer seems to be a resounding HELL NO. There’s also a surprising amount of talk about Christian’s ability to get an erection, and an especially gross term for the good ol’ lady garden. (We had some intermittent audio issues this episode, but hopefully you stuck with us anyway as we refine our setup!)
On our first episode, we discuss the pilot of Nip/Tuck from music to haircuts to piles of fat. Sydney wants to analyze every character’s trauma, Jes has a bone to pick with Ryan Murphy about boob sizes, and kindergarteners and lesbians sure do exist. We also get slightly serious to talk about why we wanted to start a podcast, and our relationship with Nip/Tuck.

Today instead of a normal episode, we are protesting the constantly growing number of black people being assaulted and murdered without cause or warning. We encourage other podcasters to do the same this month, and use the hashtag #PodcastBlackout to spread the word. We'll be back on Tuesday, June 9th with S1E5 of Nip/Tuck commentary.
