Welcome to So This is Love, a podcast about love, the loss of love, heartbreak and the meeting of self. We share stories on how the relationships we once had teach us about who we are and define who we become. And maybe through these stories, we can answer that age old question; is it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?

Today, I sit down with Florence—a woman whose story is as heartbreaking as it is revealing. Raised in a turbulent home, Florence sought love in all the wrong places, leading to a relationship with Junior that teetered between desperation and dysfunction. She struggled with her mental health, self-image, and the echoes of a childhood marked by conflict. Her actions were at times harmful, but they were rooted in pain. As Florence shares her story, the lines between victim and aggressor blur, reminding us of the complexities of the human experience. Through Florence’s narration, we explore the duality of love, loss and the lingering shadows of the past all while asking ourselves this conflicting question, can someone be both wounded and responsible for wounding others?

I love the fact that she knows exactly what is happening in her situation. when she says that it's something she has okayed for now., i love to hear it. she recognises the part she plays in it and she knows there's an exit someday, and i actually like that...
I've listened to this story twice and I still don't know how to feel about it...so many emotions
I LOVE Allison's idea of friendship,I would like to ask or to be asked to be friends😄...I always thought I was weird in thinking that friendship breakups hurt more than romantic relationships but she's validated me.I would love to have a friend like her because she sounds so mature and intentional 💜
It is so hard to forgive and agree to move on..I admire Ruth for this and applaud her for being open and vulnerable. Love this podcast!!thanks Jules!
