This week on 'So You Think Your Car Is Fast', we discuss a wide range of topics related to car modification and racing. We talk about how much power our cars are making, trap speed conversions between 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 mile, and how much power it takes to actually go 200mph in the different platforms as a continuation of the conversation about hypothetical builds from the last episode. Worth area, but you better have a thick wallet as the initiation fees alone reach close to $100,000! We're not sure if our friends listen or not. It seems the general approach has for us to not self-promote amongst our friends and let things grow organically. This approach has led to a bit of a vacuum for feedback, and ideas from the audience. Dodge Hellcats are being stolen due to what amounts to an IT security issue with their keyless entry system, and we talk about what Dodge is doing about it to help their customers. Hint, it's not good. We also get right into exactly what was wrong with the way UGR raced the TX2K Elite Roll Racing class and show Todd's own video of the race. Keep in mind the perspective shift of looking at it from a 45-degree angle at the start. Taylor's car is getting a lot of fine-tuning, and extra work on the PDK transmission for launch control, traction control, and shifting speed. A little bit of work needs to be done on his fuel level gauge also. After fighting through issues and competing against all of the TX2K cars for prep time he has to make the difficult decision not to attend the Shift-Sector Hondo Race. Due to TX2K and Hondo being 1 week apart there just isn't any time on the schedule to get it done. We're all heartbroken, none of us are going to make it. Our new strategy to get the cars ready is just to invent events we're not going to so we have deadlines for vendors. Taylor's trailer gets messed with, and Dan's was stolen. Luckily Dan got his trailer back but he has a bit of a brain freeze talking about it. Taylor is in fact running Xona Rotor XR9564S turbos. One in a standard rotation, and one in a mirror image reverse rotation configuration. Todd is going to be consulting with Robert Young at Forced Performance but we predict that Todd will also be getting the XR9564S. Combined we have run just about every turbo in the Xona Rotor catalog. Finally "The Mysterious Turbo Engineer" comes up, where we get our information about the ultra hardcore engineering involved in these amazing turbochargers available today. We talk about what's next for Todd's car -- it looks like the car is getting Xona Rotor turbochargers. All 3 cars are out for Hondo, so the next time we'll be on the track is Kansas Shift-Sector in June. Todd's engine is going back to John Bray to alleviate excess crankcase pressure and the new fabrication is being done for the Xona turbos.TX2K23 is in the books and the results were incredible in the roll racing. It has been a long time coming, but T1 finally took down Underground Racing in the roll race. Convincingly! We reveal the history and backstory of this, and why it was such a big deal for all those involved. Congrats to the entire T1 team on an amazing performance. What's TX2K24 going to look like in Dallas? Houston Raceway Park is shutting down and this was the final event.
