It has been a very long-time sense I have posted a podcast episode, and I want to say I am officially getting back into it. In this episode I want to share with y'all where I've been and why I was away for so long. I also share my plans in what I will be bringing to the podcast for the future. I am happy to be back and can't wait to share more content with you all.
Trusting God is not always easy. In fact its one of the hardest things we do as Christians especially when times get tough! In this episode we look at the story of the man with a withered hand in the Gospel of Mark 3:1-6. This man had a hand that was completely disfigured and was embarrassed and ashamed of it. Jesus calls this man out in the synagogue and calls him to come forward. This man could of ran away in shame and embarrassment because of his hand but instead he trust Jesus and Jesus heals his hand. It's not easy to trust God but he always has our best interest. God will for us does require suffering not to punish us or to make us feel unloved rather he loves us so much that he wants us to grow closer to him by trusting him through our trials we face and by trusting him we become stronger as a person and in our faith in him.
Let's be honest it is hard to stay strong in our faith when life storms comes at us. In this episode I talk about the story of The Calming of a Storm at Sea in the Gospel of Mark 4:35-41. Here the disciples lack faith because of the storm and Jesus calls them out for not having faith. When we go through hard times in our life, we can sometimes be like the disciples in the boat, but Jesus reminds us to fear not for I am with you. We must have faith in Christ at all times through the hard times but also the good times. The only way we can stay strong and even become stronger in our faith in Jesus if we continue to grow in our relationship with him a relationship, he is desperately wanted to have with us, and we should want the same no matter how hard life gets or how great life is we should always be seeking a relationship with Jesus.
Let's be honest loving others can be extremely hard. This Sunday is the fourth Sunday of Advent, and the theme is love. In this episode I discuss the challenges of love and somethings we need to have in order to love others well. I also share a story of a time in my life when I wasn't such a good person to someone who continue to show me love and how it changed me and taught me how to love others today.
It's the third week of advent which is the week of Joy! In this episode I discuss how we can find Joy in the hard times in our lives. Joy is sometimes label as a happy feeling and although we may experience that sometimes Joy is not always about feeling happy. Joy is about seeing the good that God has done and will continue to do for us especially in the hardest of times.
The season of Advent starts this Sunday and in this episode I discuss the basic history of what Advent is the history of it and why Christian should partake in the season of Advent. Remember its not a requirement to partake in Advent however it is an opportunity to grow deeper and closer in your relationship with God.
In this episode I discuss John 8:2-11 talking about the women who committed adultery and how show Jesus showed her compassion and how he shows us that same compassion for us.
In this episode I talk about the story of Job suffering and how we as Christians can learn from Job through the times we face suffering in our lives. It is important to acknowledge as Christians we will suffer but through our faith in God and the people we surround ourselves with we can get through those tough moments in our lives.
In this episode I talk about how we can face and overcome our fears in our lives by surrendering them to Jesus and what are some ways we can do that.
In this episode I am coming in hot with the truth and reality of the bible. It is not a hallmark book its a tough messy brutal book to read but its the truth and God calls us to live that truth each and everyday. The bible purpose is to warn and inform you about the truth of God and sometimes it can be hard to take in but never forget the bible was created out of God love for us and how to live a life that will lead us to heaven because God wants you in heaven with him!
In this episode I talk about why its important to be very careful who we allow in our circle and when it is time to cut those out who don't deserve to be in our circle.
In this episode I talk about how this coming new year instead of a new years resolution let us set goals and challenges for ourselves everyday instead of one day a year that we all know most of us will not commit to. God calls us to grow everyday so let us set goals for ourselves each and everyday so that we may strive to be better. There is no limit to how much we can grow as long as we apply ourselves.
In this Christmas episode I discuss what the Christmas season is truly about and how we as Christians should live in the time of the Christmas season. I also talk about the hot controversy as a Christian should you allow your child to believe in Santa or not? Find out by listening to this episode.
The importance of accepting and embracing the change we come to face in our lives.
In this episode I talk about how important it is to not worry about what others think about us and rather focus on who God created us to be. The hard truth not everyone is going to like so why waste times on those who are not willing to pour into your cup but rather drink from it. People will use and manipulate you to thinking your a bad person or your not good enough for their own benefit. This episode I want to remind you guys that the only approval that matters is God and don't allow toxic people in your lives to destroy your self worth. There are people who come into our lives to encourage and accept us and then their are people who come in our lives to take from it for their own personal needs. Be careful who you allow in your friend circle because words are just words at the end of the day what truly matters is our actions.
This is one of the most important episode I have ever record. In this episode I share my story with what it was like growing up with dyslexia and how I struggle with my identity for many years because I was allowing people perception of my struggles with dyslexia formulate what they thought of me rather then seeing who God created me to be. I now see my dyslexia not as a burden or a disability but rather a gift and an opportunity to grow. I truly believe God knew that I was strong enough to handle the challenges of dyslexia to help me to become a strong man of God. Dyslexia is not a disability or a burden but rather a gift and opportunity that only few get the chance to experience. My hope and prayer that anyone who is struggling with dyslexia or knows someone who is struggling with dyslexia that this episode gives the encouragement and know that its a battle to be dyslexic but only God gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors.
In this episode I talk about how we can obtain the strength of God. We all know that God strength is there for us but we don't always use it and I discuss how in some ways we can obtain the strength that is given to us through what the bible tells us.
In this episode I get real and deep with the harms and struggles I faced with a porn addiction. Porn addiction is a serious addiction and we need to be aware of the harms of it and stand up against the porn industry. Porn is not sex and its not what sex was attended to be. We need to be aware of the harm and effects porn has on people and support and love those struggling with a porn addiction and help and encourage them on the road to recovery!
