On a scale of 1-10, (1 being horrible and 10 being perfect) how would God rate your prayer life? Do our prayers have any power? What even is prayer? You will want to take a listen to this message as we learn how to have EFFECTIVE PRAYERS!
The goodness of God calls us to repentance. Displaying His power over nature and nations, God reached out to Israel time and time again. But His people would not return. When the conscience can no longer be pricked, judgment if often right around the corner. Amos warns the people to prepare to meet God. Are you prepared to meet Him?
God calls the children of Israel to account. Through Amos, God asks questions that ought to cause the Israelites to stop and think. God details the reasons for his quarreling with the nation and calls for them to continue in their false worship since it has worked so well in the past. God has patiently tried to get the attention of the Israelites, but His patience is nearing an end. When God speaks, we must stop and listen!
When Moses saw the burning bush, he had to make the decision to turn aside and see the great sight. When he did, the Lord called to him. His simple response needs to be ours as well: Here am I.
Feeling pressure to stay silent about your faith? Discover how to fear God more than man and live with bold, gracious confidence that the gospel still changes lives. Listen now.
Injustice. Immorality. Idolatry. These are three of the scales-tipping sins for the nation of Israel. They also describe the United States of America. Join us as we discover what judgment looks like when it hits close to home.
In a world so full of noise that most of us can’t even hear ourselves think, Jesus tells a story about listening—not with your ears, but with your heart. Let’s take a test to see what kind of soil your soul really is, and why the problem isn’t with the seed—it’s with the dirt.
We pay the bills, fill the tanks, fund the subscriptions—and then tell God we’ll give if there’s anything left. But in Joshua’s story, God makes it clear: the first belongs to Him. When we hold back what’s His, it costs more than we think. When we put Him first, it changes everything.
God sends Amos, a man with no credentials, to confront the wealth and wickedness of Israel. Amos rings out, "Thus saith the Lord," as he pronounces judgment on some of Israel's enemies. While the comfortable and corrupt Israelites reveled in approaching judgment for others, they should have been examining their own standing with the Lord. Are we so eager to see God’s judgment on the wicked that we do not pause to examine our own heart and life?
Religion can bring Jesus into the room, but only love falls at His feet. In Luke 7, one woman’s tears and surrender reveal the difference between observing Him and adoring Him.
Feeling drained, afraid, or like life’s spinning out of control? Isaiah 40 has the answer — not in politics, power, or performance, but in one invitation: Behold Your God. In this week’s message, Pastor Aaron Hargis shows how seeing God again can renew your strength and restore your soul.
The end of the book of Joel offers encouragement to believers. All wrongs will be made right when Christ is King. But justice will also be accomplished, for Christ's return will be to annihilate His foes and perfect His people. How are we to respond? Join us as we finish our series through the book of Joel.
At His ascension, Christ lays out His program to reach the lost. As believers, we are all enlisted into this program, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to accomplish it. But do we? Join us as we look at God’s plan to reach the uttermost.
In Matthew 17, Jesus leads Peter, James, and John up a mountain where they see His glory revealed in the Transfiguration. The climb was hard, but the view changed everything. Sometimes God calls us higher—not for comfort, but for transformation. It’s time to climb out of complacency, doubt, and distraction, and step into the mountaintop moments where we see Jesus for who He truly is.
In this portion of Scripture, we see God gathering the nations for their judgment. The truths in these verses ought to cause us to live courageously, boldly, and soberly in these times.
When life doesn’t go the way you thought it would, the gap between what you expected and what God allows can feel crushing. But it’s in that very gap that Jesus shows us His wisdom, His ways, and His better story.
Life’s greatest danger isn’t the wilderness—it’s moving without God’s presence. Just like Israel, your survival, direction, and peace are all found in the Cloud.
When Christ comes to judge the nations, He references Himself as the Son of Man, Shepherd, and King. But He is also the Savior. How ought Christ's majesty, power, and sacrifice influence our daily lives? Join us as we continue looking at the judgment of nations from Joel 3 and Matthew 25.
Pastor Aaron walks us through Hebrews 2 as we prepared for communion.
From wars and pandemics to violence in our streets, the world feels like it’s breaking apart. But Romans 8 shows those groans point to something far greater about to arrive…
