I'm sorry but this episode, in particular, illustrates the damage to women that a patriarchal church can inflict. That a minor is viewed as the aggressor, simply because of her sex, to me is despicably evil. It gives license to adult, male church members to abuse women without suffering real consequences. Additionally and sickeningly, it allows married men such as Carl, to abuse their wives and these wives ate taught that it's "godly" to submit to their abuse. No thankyou to this god.

I think Victoria”s sister in law sounds very deflective and Avoids any responsibility… she comes across narcissistic

I got 5 minutes into the Podcast and I'm already thinking you can't be this desperate to date this dick. He lost me at being too depressed at a family loss and fat shaming.

The letter written by "Dick's" friend for his future wife is reeeeally strange. It felt okay at the beginning, but the longer it went on, it became deeply intimate and felt a bit much.

first off an addict does not choose to use. addiction takes over your life. I get her anger and frustration but I think she could use better wording. it's insulting to some! Getting sober takes A LOT of work and it's hard. It takes a VERY long time to work through it. It's a daily struggle and life long struggle. No one chooses to b an addict. I just found the wording she chose to b really harsh and mean.

It is unbelievable how much this woman and her children had to go through!! I know this is completely insignificant in the whole scheme of things, but can you provide the insurance company name that upheld her policy? They deserves all the business they can get for doing the right thing by her!

Okay, I know nobody really looks at the comments on castbox, but just in the off chance that Tiffany or Kenzie ever do - I have my own story of abuse, and and have been listening to SWW consistently for a couple of years because, as Kenzie mentioned, it's therapeutic and educational, not just for people like us but for people who don't have first-hand experience. Despite every episode being validating and its own way, I just wanted to say that Kenzie said a couple of things in this particular episode that hit me really hard. Being hardcore love bombed, on a constant high and having unrealistic expectations set in a previous relationship has really been messing me up over the last couple of years. It was extremely consoling to know that there is another person dealing with that, and I truly wish I could find out how she learns to cope with it. Also I want to point out a very important message that comes from the story. Kenzie is so extremely lucky to have such incredible friends who, while they were afraid of the possible fallout, were strong enough to take that risk and do anything it took to protect her and show her the truth. I certainly didn't have that when I needed it, and far too many people are afraid to speak up for fear of retaliation or interjecting in somebody else's business. Even if the reaction is negative, when the truth eventually comes out you will be thanked for doing everything that you could. Or at the very least you can sleep easier knowing that you gave it your best effort to save someone.

the launching right into interviews really bothers me. I need a narrative and some context to understand what's going on....
