Jack and Doc discuss the mysterious woman and Hermie’s odd background. They witness a group of robed figures performing a ritual with a dead Indian. Manuel, the robed man, appears on the ledge, revealing that both he and Angelina, the woman, are part of the temple. Angelina returns and tries to take Hermie, ultimately jumping off the ledge with him, leaving Jack and Doc shocked.

Settling in for the night, Doc steps outside and encounters the mysterious woman in the darkness—only for her to vanish into thin air when he tries to catch her.
