Sound Doctrine

Sound Doctrine - 1 Timothy | Men, Women, and Church Leadership: What Does Scripture Actually Say? | Pastor Chris Heller   What does the Bible teach about the roles of men and women in the church? Looking at 1 Timothy 2:1–15, this message explores one of Scripture’s most debated passages through the historical setting of Ephesus, Paul’s call to sound doctrine, and God’s design for men and women. Rather than approaching a difficult passage with division, we’re called to understand it with humility and grace. Men and women are equal in worth and giftedness while serving in complementary roles, with Christ at the center of our identity, dignity, and purpose.

Sound Doctrine - 1 Timothy | Pastor Chris Heller   1 Timothy 1:8-20 What’s the purpose of sound doctrine, and what does it have to do with grace? Using sound doctrine as the plumb line, how does our faith measure up?   Paul knew firsthand what it meant to be changed by grace. His story reminds us that none of us is beyond the reach of God, and none of us ever outgrows our need for Him.   This Sunday, we’ll be challenged to take an honest look at our own hearts and consider what it looks like to hold tightly to faith in the daily challenge of following Christ.   #Renew #doctrine #Timothy #Blueprint #sermon #sunday #onlinechurch

Sound Doctrine - 1 Timothy | Pastor Chris Heller   We’re looking forward to this Sunday as we launch our fall sermon series “Sound Doctrine”, a journey through the book of 1 Timothy. Together, we’ll explore God’s blueprint for a healthy church, what we at Renew believe, why we believe it, and our response as a result of it.   While doctrine can sometimes feel like a heavy topic, don’t let the title scare you! We’ll approach these important truths through the lens of grace, asking not only what a healthy church should believe, but what it looks like when we live those beliefs out together. And because growing in faith is a process, we’ll be reminded to extend grace—to ourselves and to one another—as God continues His work of shaping and maturing each of us.

Help Is On The Way - Judges | Crushed | Pastor Chris Heller   Judges 16 This Sunday we will be wrapping up our Help Is On the Way series with the dramatic conclusion to the life of Samson. We will also be observing Communion.   Samson’s story is one of incredible strength, devastating weakness, and a God who is not finished—even when everything seems lost. Samson’s choices finally catch up with him, leaving him broken, blinded, and seemingly defeated. But in his darkest moment, he turns back to the Lord, and God gives him strength one final time.   We hope you’ll join us as we discover that failure doesn’t have to be the final chapter—God can still accomplish His purposes through a life surrendered to Him.   #Renew #Judges #Rebel #motorcycle #sermon #sunday #onlinechurch

Help Is On The Way - Judges | Slow To Anger | Pastor Chris Heller   Judges 15 This week we’ll see Samson’s story takes a dramatic turn as anger, revenge, and conflict seem to spiral out of control. Yet, even through Samson’s impulsive choices and complicated character, God is still at work, using an imperfect man to accomplish His purposes and deliver His people.   #Renew #Judges #Rebel #motorcycle #sermon #sunday #onlinechurch
