Space Racists

The Space Racists are kicking off a new season by inviting some friends in on the mic. As quarantine (???) we safely invite some folks on to stand in a room near a proximity mic while we divine into the universe. We're talking growth and development and letting life unfold with Madison Comedy's resident cranberry boy. 

- Last time Pluto was transiting the degrees of Capricorn that it is now was the American Revolution. - Last time Uranus transited Taurus as it is right now was the end of the Great Depression- Last time Neptune was transiting Pisces as it is now was when the major movements to end American slavery started taking place. All of that is happening now, together, all at the same time. We are in unprecedented astrological times. But no worries everything happening on the ground is SUPER normal every-day type shit so no need to pay attention to astrology ever it's all garbage science and bullshit and not based on ancient wisdom at all. What a relief. 

Deon and Joe talk for probably too long. Are you listening? Do you love us?... Them? I'm still not sure which point of view to write these episode descriptions in. We talk shadow work, being your own best supporter and cheerleader. Of course we talk racism and briefly mention astrology. Mostly just ramblings about our personal lives. Our longest episode by far. Are you going to listen to the whole thing? What else do you have to do? Probably a lot. By the end we're deeply personal so probably good that few, if any of you will hear it. Should these have more focused topics? Maybe. Should we be less tangential? I don't think so at all. This summer has been weird. Stay inside (yourself), do some work, and make the last 6 months of this year the beginning of your new life. Deon and Joe are "back in their bags" - Recording over the net during quarantine is trick but we may just have found a way that works. For us at least. Thats what it's about - find the shit that works for you. Everything is in retrograde! We talk exes, aliens, and inner monsters. Come hang out!

Deon and Joe are finally able to record during "Stay at Home" - We know you've missed us. We're back on our bull (Taurus) talking new moon in Scorpio, retrogrades, and what the quarantine has brought us each so far. Which apparently doesn't include the ability to record without saying 'like' a bunch. Cut some slack it's hard to remember how to talk to people.   

Is the world on fire? Or maybe just giving birth to a whole new self. Is that what we're all doing? It's all a maybe - the world is in the state of the unknown and we're all just living in it. The Spacists pitch their takes on everything that's going on - what's to come, what will be, and how we can (possibly) make a difference through our own positive belief in what's to come. It's called FAITH loves and we all need some of it right now. Keep it light and be good. 

Monday March 9th - the moon in full in the sign of Virgo. That little bitch Mercury has stopped retrograding. Part two of our late episode from the New Moon in Pisces.  This one is much more positive and uplifting and all of that stuff.

This was an informative one! We stepped away from the typical format of Deon and Joe just talking bullshit - to welcome on Johnny C. Wood. Johnny is a Madison musician and astrologer for the past 20+ years. He joins us to put us to school about some really basic elements of reading a chart. Probably stuff we should have known before starting a podcast on the topic - but who cares! We're all just learning about everything as we go. It's a long one but absolutely PACKED full of info. We will have Johnny on again soon to discuss how these aspects and trines influence personality. But for now, consider this episode Astrology 101. 

This week Deon and Joe both unknowingly got Tarot readings. How serendipitous! Without any planning or knowing, the Space Racists both got tarot readings this past week. Joe from comedian & Tarot reader Karen Rontowski (karenrontowski.com) and Deon from Twitter pal Venus Numerology (@NumerologyVenus). They discuss some standup, numerology, why Seinfeld is the Bob Cousy of standup, Joe laments his job loss (again?), relationships (recurring theme), Deon makes references to rap and Digimon that Joe obviously doesn't follow, and diving into the unknown - which is just everything after February.  Are we and our controversial name going to become the next divisive voice in Astrology? Damn I hope so.The work is never done, and because of that you are never wrong. Love you all!
