Here is the Bio I use for shows and Comic Cons: Ben Knight has been making a name for himself the last couple of years as a nerdcore/pop culture hip hop artist, and once you hear him it’s not hard to see why. He takes cues from past and present rappers but keeps the Nerd Vibes poppy. In the constantly growing and evolving hip hop landscape, he is a welcome addition to the genre. Here is the one on my website: I grew up in southern Indiana, so right there you know I was bound for greatness. Began talking and reading at an early age, was on the junior varsity basketball team for one game, got my first computer in 1995, started playing the drums around that same time, spent several years in the marching band, became part of the first DLCCC Championship Team "The John Stamos Experience. I think that takes care of the biography part. How did I come into Nerdcore? After years of touring in Pop Punk and Rock bands I wanted to try something different. I discovered MC Lars several years ago and fell in love with his version of hip hop. Soon after I discovered other "Nerdcore" artists such as Megaran, MC Frontalot, Optimus Rhyme, Sammus and others. You could create hip hop music and have fun with it. Sing/Rap about Comic Books, Video Games, Science Fiction, Movies. There are already so many hip hop/rap artists out there and I wanted to stand out. My thought was to take the production and music seriously but make all of the lyrical content satirical. All my songs are on the lighter side of things (Harry Potter, Back to the Future, Peter Pan, Nintendo, etc) but when I'm behind the mic I want to entertain and give people a good show.
