I was lucky enough to sit down and chat with actor Sean Chiplock about his career, his origins and his love of all things gaming :)  Check it out and please subscribe. More interviews coming soon.
This week on a very special Speakin' Geek Graham sat down with an icon in the gaming industry. A man who has been pulling off jackpots and stylin' for over a decade, Reuben Langdon aka Dante the owner of Devil May Cry.  Graham and Reuben go the full gambit of discussing his Japan adventures to finding the beauty in the simulation that may be our existence.  Stay tuned for more Speakin' Geek (we promise they won't be as sparse next time).
Dublin Comic Con 2019 was last weekend and it was awesome.  At a panel held for the press, I was lucky enough to attend I got to chat with Jason David Frank aka Tommy Oliver one of the legendary Power Rangers and James Marsters aka Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Torchwood, and most recently The Runaways.  The panel was packed with all the charm that those two could muster as well as a lot of enthusiasm from the audience in attendance.  It was a great way to start the event and I had an absolute blast getting back into the swing of podcasting.  Stay tuned to more from us at GamEir as well as the talented team from Dublin Comic Con.
I was part of a panel that got to meet some of the special guests of Dublin Comic Con Anime Edition. It was an interesting evening where the guests sat down with several members of the press and discussed their careers, their lives, and their fans.
This past weekend I got to interview Kira Buckland at Dublin Comic Con Anime Edition. She was an absolute delight and discussed the many roles she's had the opportunity to inhabit. We talk about the fandom of Nier: Automata and how she has been blown away by the fandom especially because 2B is such a young character in pop culture circles.
On this episode of Speakin' Geek Graham once again dives into the DCEU. This time it's all about Ava Duvernay and her new gig. And it's all about the New Gods the legendary creations from comic book icon Jack Kirby. Joining Graham in this Boom Tube to the Fourth Wall is Darren Graham who many will remember from the infamous dissection of the Justice League episode. This time Darren brings his New God size knowledge to the podcast to discuss what Ava may bring to the jumbled table of the DCEU. If you want to learn more about what Darren is doing when he's not musing about artists like Duvarney check him out at his podcast, movie blog, and Twitter.  Twitter - https://twitter.com/darren_mooney the m0vie blog - https://them0vieblog.com/ The 250 Twitter - https://twitter.com/thetwofifty If you want to find Graham try something like Beetlejuice and who knows he may show up. After last week's episode with the special guests this week I met with some of the heroes of Leakycon, the purveyors of magical goodies. I chatted with several of the retailers at the stalls and what I came away from each interview was that they are all highly enthused fans of Harry Potter and the world he lives in. Check out all the links to the various store's below if you're interested in anything Potter: Wizards in Space Joker's Journal Ann Arbor Tees
I was at this years Leakycon because lucky me it was held here in Ireland at Citywest Hotel. I met a ton of incredibly passionate fans, met some idols of mine, and I sat down with some incredible talent including Evanna Lynch, Jim Cornish, and Dan Fogler. The interviews were fantastic, a lot of fun, I learned a lot, and I bonded with Evanna Lynch over Prince of Persia,( yes she's that cool).  This is easily one of the fun episodes, and I hope you enjoy it. If you enjoyed it be sure to like, favourite, tweet, do all the social media shenanigans and if  I met you at Leakycon let me know how the long magical weekend treated you when we parted ways.
This week on Speakin' Geek Graham and Steve sit down and stir the shit with Stephen King's latest film adaptation The Dark Tower. Starring Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, and newcomer Tom Taylor this adaptation has been over a decade in the making. There's been, JJ Abrams and his Marvel Comics inspired version, then came Ron Howard and his man Akiva Goldman who were going to create a series. They eventually went on to be a part of the team that would make the film audiences were "treated" to.  With two different perspectives, a lover of the book, and a lover of fantasy there were hopes for The Dark Tower. Sadly they were dashed, and now we get to listen to two relatively young men grumble like old people. Stay tuned for the next episode of Speakin' Geek and if you enjoyed this episode be sure and leave a rating on Itunes, good or bad. We love any human interaction; we're very lonely.
On this episode of Speakin' Geek the lads are away but Graham was lucky enough to attend Dublin Comic Con this past weekend so we have a bunch of fun interviews with some incredible talent.  Graham got to talk about Declan Shalvey and Philip Barrett about their new title Savage Town, a brutal look at crime in Limerick City. It's a brutally poignant comic depicting life in Limerick City and it's a comic everyone should check out. Graham chatted with Tracy Sayers about her work on Freya her mythic adventure story about a faerie/human hybrid. Her origins, her other work on sites like Geek Ireland and discussed her appreciation of the talent of the young artist she has with her. Also, Graham sat down with Gareth Luby about his incredible work, reminiscent of legendary artist Todd Nauck. They talk about his history with hair and Graham sadly goes off on a ridiculous tangent, but don't worry he reigns it in. Finally, Graham reunites with Paddy Lennon famed author of the Flare series as they reminisce about how Graham and Paddy have discussed this series through every year of its inception. Not only that Paddy talks about his love for action figures and how his panel on them became the number. 2 thing to do at Dublin Comic Con 2017. Check out all the links below to check out their work and be sure to spread the love for Irish born talent. Stay tuned for next episode when Steve and Graham bring down the Dark Tower. @declanshalvey @philip_barrett @reikiwithtracy @PaddyLennon1 @garethluby
