Spilled Inklings

This week's a short one, a less known fantasy standalone that might be worth looking into..

And now the conclusion of the epic three part series on the first really excellent Discworld book. Because we had so much to say we needed as many episodes as...okay, no you already know, recording errors be damned. Going forward they shouldn't be a problem. But really, this is an excellent book and where Mort was the first GOOD Discworld book, Wyrd Sisters goes beyond that to become the first EXCELLENT Discworld book.

Here you go, with no lead in at all, the second episode. We continue to explore what made this book so much better than its precedents.

Is this the best book we've ever read? It's at least the first Discworld book that really feels like the Discworld we spend the majority of our reading time in. Come along and listen to see exactly how Sir Terry pulled it off. Add audio editing software issues to the recording software issues. This episode comes in a total of three parts, the second one will come shortly after this one, the last part next week.

This week the recording only crashed three times! Still a cursed episode, but perhaps that's par for the course considering the material. Might this become our most controversial episode ever? You'll have to listen to find out.
