Some people are not aware of what it means to repent; manythink it means to say, “I’m sorry.” However, repenting means to turn, by having a change of mind. Jesus gave us instruction in the word of God on how tohandle conflict and when someone trespasses against us in Mt 18:15-17. However, there is another side we need to address; it’s that inner conflict that we need to recognize in our emotions. If honest, we discover forgiveness is in ordertoward our offender as well. Forgiveness has a way of releasing us from a prison ofunforgiveness, holding a grudge and even bitterness. Furthermore, forgiveness brakes Satan’s power as well as other people’s power over us. Jesus gives a clear example of how we are to deal withconflict and offenses. Oftentimes, we go about addressing offenses the wrong way.
