Dan and Andy talk sports and music while using a new platform for the show.   Minnesota is under a "Lockdown" order from the Governor. High School sports impact is discussed. College hockey is discussed along with two local Goaltender notes. Pro Football, including the release of the new logo for the L.A.  Rams. Andy goes over "this day in sports" and "this day in music". Dan review the album "Little Queen" which was released by Heart in 1977 and went Triple Platinum.

Dan and Andy talk High School State Tournaments (Boy's Hockey and Girl's Basketball). The Corona-Virus outbreak has cancelled, High School Sports, College Sports and Pro Sports.  The impact of this was discussed next. Andy provided notes on "this day in music" and concert updates. Dan reviewed the album "Temple of the Dog" that was released in 1991. Link to the song/lyrics for "Say Hello to Heaven" written by Chris Cornell after his roommate Andrew Wood died in Seattle.

Sports and Songs - Episode 17 (3.7.20) - High School Sports State Tournament Time! Boy's Hockey this week and Girl's Basketball next week!

Dan and Andy talk Pro Baseball spring training and the XFL week 5. College Hockey (men's and women's) and basketball (men's and women's) winter season is wrapping up.   Conference Tournaments for the next two weekends and Selection Sunday  will be Sunday, March 15.   Sports and Songs will be hosting a Men's Bracket NCAA Basketball Pick ' Em Challenge. High School Hockey finals are today and Girls basketball Sectional Finals are done.  Brackets for the Girls Tourney will be announced this week for all four classes. Boy's High School Basketball are in the midst of their Sectional playoff games and we'll have more on those games next week. Andy had music/concert notes and Dan reviewed the album "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath that was released in January, 1971.
