Peter, Robbie and Ramsay are back with a bonus summer special to hand out some weird and wonderful awards, whilst taking a more scaled-back look at the season as a whole. This is the first time we have done this, so hopefully you enjoyed the listen, as we chatted even more dross than usual! If this goes down well, we will make these awards an annual event
Peter hosts Robbie and Ramsay one final time for season 4 as they review the events that saw ROSS COUNTY STAY IN THE PREMIERSHIP. Draws against St. Johnstone and Aberdeen consigned the Staggies to the playoffs before a 6-1 aggregate mauling of Raith Rovers confirmed their safety. All three of the boys had interesting journeys to and from the away leg, including places such as Palma and Cowdenbeath. After the home leg Don Cowie was announced as the permanent County manager to widespread joy. The good, bad and ugly returned alongside tweet of the week for one final season 4 hurrah. We wrapped it up by answering your questions! Thank you for your support over season 4. Stay tuned for some fun summer podcasts! :) Mon the Staggies!
- WE ARE ALL YAN DHANDA - There will be a minutes applause in the 10th minute of Ross County vs Motherwell in support of Yan Dhanda after he was subject to racial abuse from the away support during the match against Hibernian. Peter and Ramsay are back to discuss the last two weeks of County performances (Robbie was too busy travelling the world it seems). It was a juxtaposition for the Staggies as a defeat to now relegated Livingston followed by a win against Hibs left Cowie's County yet to pick up a point on the road while being unbeaten at home. The good, bad and ugly were back as always. Tweet of the Week made a return and County Twitter had a solid outing this time around! We heard from Don Cowie as he looks forward to the Motherwell game. Mon the Staggies!
Peter hosts Ramsay and Robbie (after a fantastic intro from our friend Donald Erskine) to discuss a historic first win for the Staggies over Rangers. Robbie was under fire for showing up 50 minutes late to recording. The conversation about the match was all over the place as the boys discussed the outstanding performance of every player on the park for Ross County. Ramsay and Peter's unprofessional conduct celebrating unashamedly in the press box was condemned/ celebrated. They then looked forward to the post-split fixtures and County's chances of avoiding another playoff. The good, the bad and the ugly made a return and for once the boys struggled to come up with the latter two. Tweet of the week made a long-awaited return! Finally, we answered your questions! Peter hosts Robbie and Ramsay after their weekend trip to Kilmarnock who beat the Staggies 1-0 in a turgid game of football. The beloved Max Sheaf Inn took a hit to its reputation as the boys were there for pre-match activities. Mack's Bar Kilmarnock was praised for its cheap prices, jukebox and sandwiches. The boys genuinely mull over the possibility of moving to Kilmarnock. We unfortunately had to talk about football as Kyle Vassell took advantage of slack defending to put County to the sword. On Saturday, Rangers travel up to Dingwall in what is a daunting prospect of a match that we had to preview. The good, the bad, and the ugly was back in full force. As always, your questions were answered! Follow us on social media: Twitter/X - @staggiesview Instagram - @staggiesview TikTok - @staggies_view Mon the Staggies!
Peter, Robbie and Ramsay are joined by friend of the podcast Liam Miller as they discuss a brilliant Dark Blue Weekend, despite a 2-1 loss on the pitch to Aberdeen. The weekend kicked off with a Supporters Club quiz in the Staggies Bar that Peter attended and did well in. It came to Saturday and the boys travelled from Glasgow, Perth and the Black Isle and eventually culminated in Aberdeen. It was an eventful day even before the match. Killie are next for Don Cowie's men and it will be a proper fight against the Premiership's 4th placed team. The boys discussed possible lineups. The identity of County social media sensation Gobbo the Staggie was speculated. As always your questions were answered! Peter, Robbie and Ramsay are back after over a month (blame Glasgow Caledonian University) to talk about Don Cowie's Ross County! They spoke about what happened between then and now, battling results against both Edinburgh teams and which Staggies squad member you'd want on your side in a pub quiz. Dark Blue Saturday is making a return after 10 years as the Black Isle Supporters Club and Ross County Supporters Club are sending buses to Aberdeen for our bottom of the table showdown at Pittodrie.
