Team ShWRRT meets the replicators. But they're not really replicators. They're just different nanobots that were invented by different people that happened to evolve in exactly the same way as the other replicators so that they have identical powers to the foes we're familiar with. As Kronk would say, "Whoa, what are the odds?"
What happens when you muck around with alien technology that you don't understand? Interdimensional, mutation-causing space worms, obviously! They should have known better than to use those Sodan cloaking devices.
Explosions, team bonding, an arrow to the butt - what more could we want from an Atlantis episode?
Everyone get's to play with some Ba'als. Can you handle two Ba'als? What about 12 Ba'als? Or more? There's enough Ba'als to go around. Ba'als, Ba'als everywhere but not a single person named Dick. Go figure.
Things take a problematic turn when the writers don't stop to think about how gross it is to write an episode about a guy who basically drugs a bunch of women to get them to marry him. And when Mary has too many beers before recording, the political filters come off...
Who doesn't love a cross-over episode? Rodney is working with Sam and Mitchell, Weir is working Daniel and Vala and...Morgan le Fay? Sheppard is around too, with a supply of lemons in his flack jacket. Totally normal.
The team on Atlantis betrays Michael (and all his wraith pals) again, and now they've got a couple hundred elves to look after. Not too surprisingly, since the effects of the retrovirus are not permanent, things go very, very badly. But on the bright side, despite some in-depth questioning, the Doctor, er, Woolsey decides to let Weir keep her job despite some terrible choices lately.
It's permanent nap time on Vagonbrei but SG1 wants to stay up and play with science and lizards. Who wouldn't?! Vala wants to play, too but Landry first wants to make sure she can play nice with others...
Things work out just fine for Team Shrrt, not great for Michael, pretty bad for the Daedalus, and catastrophically for the Russian's and their brand new space ship. What's the fix? More wraith retrovirus! What could go wrong?
A low stakes rescue, yet another run-of-the-mill Daniel death fake-out, and the return of Vala. You'd think they'd want to start their last season off with a bang. Apparently they had opted not to.
The plan with the wraith retrovirus worked so well before, why don't we revisit that? What could go wrong? Probably everything. Our money is on everything.
Sorry, SG-1 the Ori are here and your weapon is in another castle. Or planet.
The floor being lava is only fun when you're watching it on Netflix while the entire world is locked down during a pandemic. Team ShRRT, on the other hand, are not having a good time with lava in this episode...
Vala's back! Kind of. Not really. She's just inhabiting Daniel's body and telling us what she's been up to these last few months. Turn's out shit's been going down out in the Ori galaxy...
The Atlantis folks engage in some very unethical behavior and deserve to suffer the consequences. Kathy and Mary have no sympathy for them this time.
Sam and Mitchell are missing! Not really though, because we know where they are even if the people on the base don't. Dr. Lee may have picked up some bad habits from that bug scientist a few episodes back, but at least Daniel is still around to save the day. Meanwhile, Teal'c is off on another tragic dealing with terrible tragedy, so that's way less fun than the on-base shenanigans.
Atlantis wants a ZPM. Cowen wants puddle jumpers. Ladon wants to be in charge. Ronon wants to be wanted. Too bad you can't always get what you want.
While SG1 is stuck babysitting some annoying delegates, bad science destroys an entire off world base. Mary gives them all an F for bad lab practices. Also, most of them die, which is probably worse than getting an F.
Lessons from Atlantis: 1. Never pick up random old space trash with life forms in it 2. Never assume that someone is friendly just because they look human 3. Never do favors for alien entities that have taken over someone else’s body 4. Never fire a gun with your eyes closed 5. Never allow aliens to access the computer systems
SG-1 is sometimes bad at their job, like when they try to bust a weird, addictive corn drug ring, but fail miserably at being discreet. Thankfully, the guy who catches them is also pretty bad at this job.
