Stargatezing

Welcome to Stargatezing with your hosts Kathy and Mary. We watch Stargate and talk about things (Spoiler Alert: We mostly talk about Stargate).

Merlin's Magic 3D Printer [SG1 S10 E11]

It's Merlin! Finally! But that was a lot of hype for a sleepy guy who died shortly after being revived. At least our special friend Daniel was able to hang on to some of Merlin's memories. Elsewhere, Sam and Ba'al need to work together if they ever want to get everyone home. Team Sa'al?

Nobody's Allowed to Have Fun in This One [ATL S3E10]

The humans rescue a boatload of Ancients who kick everyone out of Atlantis only to be overrun by Replicators. Our heroes must then trick a nerd and sacrifice some wee baby turtles in order to save Atlantis.

12-03
01:02:24

PWKCF! [SG1 S10E10]

Ancient Aliens, AI Robots, and intergalactic travel are all believable, but we draw the line at actual dragons. Also, we learn that the real sangraal is the enemies we picked up along the way.

11-26
01:02:36

Trippy Wraith Cave [ATL S3E9]

Good thing Teyla's around to DD when the rest of the team goes on a bad trip off of wraith mind fumes. Shepherd fights Taliban, Ronan chases after non-existent wraith, Rodney gets fake catastrophic readings, and Becket sees dead people. Only Teyla can save everyone from the chaos.

11-19

SG80% [SG1 S10E9]

It's an episode full of pain. Pokey rings, torture sticks, the betrayal of supposed friends, and a bunch of names that sound too much alike.

11-12
01:07:49

Meredith? [ATL S3E8]

What's better than one McKay? Two! Unless you're in that parallel world they're destroying. Then the solution is clearly three McKays!

11-05
59:23

Farter Fraud [SG1 S10E8]

If there's anything worse than having amnesia or waiting tables, it's having amnesia AND waiting tables. Luckily Vala has finally endeared herself enough to SG1 (and especially Daniel) that the team is willing to put themselves at risk to get her back.

10-29
01:05:55

Wraith Hand Vomit [ATL S3E7]

Sheppard learns that the only thing worse than a wraith actively feeding on you is Kolya AND a wraith that that's actively feeding on you.

10-22
01:07:34

Se'Tak's Ha'Tak Emporium [SG1 S10E7]

Jaffa and Earth people are apparently not able to play nice when it comes to ownership of a new, shiny, abandoned Ori ship. Meanwhile, Inara has apparently been watching lots of Star Wars and is back to show us all the new tricks she's learned from Darth Vader.

10-15
01:04:57

An Even Weirder Tuvix [SG1 S10E6]

It's episode 200 of SG1! Or 197, depending on how you count, or episode 244 of this podcast, or the 5-year anniversary of Stargatezing! So many ways to count how great this episode is (for a change).

10-08
01:01:50

Mental Sheppard [ATL S3E6]

Dr. Cameron and Dr. Beckett! Weir is caught between two bad doctors! Will her emotional support O'Neill help her make the right choice?

10-08
53:06

Wrath of the Wraith [ATL S3E5]

Team ShWRRT meets the replicators. But they're not really replicators. They're just different nanobots that were invented by different people that happened to evolve in exactly the same way as the other replicators so that they have identical powers to the foes we're familiar with. As Kronk would say, "Whoa, what are the odds?"

09-24
01:11:47

A Bear Hopped Up on Worm [SG1 S10E5]

What happens when you muck around with alien technology that you don't understand? Interdimensional, mutation-causing space worms, obviously! They should have known better than to use those Sodan cloaking devices.

09-17
01:09:02

The Underwear Matches the Donut [ATL S3E4]

Explosions, team bonding, an arrow to the butt - what more could we want from an Atlantis episode?

09-10
55:00

A Card Catalogue of Weapons [SG1 S10E4]

Everyone get's to play with some Ba'als. Can you handle two Ba'als? What about 12 Ba'als? Or more? There's enough Ba'als to go around. Ba'als, Ba'als everywhere but not a single person named Dick. Go figure.

09-03
01:06:43

Steppable Face [ATL S3E3]

Things take a problematic turn when the writers don't stop to think about how gross it is to write an episode about a guy who basically drugs a bunch of women to get them to marry him. And when Mary has too many beers before recording, the political filters come off...

08-27
01:09:47

Big Holes and Big Gates [SG1 S10E3]

Who doesn't love a cross-over episode? Rodney is working with Sam and Mitchell, Weir is working Daniel and Vala and...Morgan le Fay? Sheppard is around too, with a supply of lemons in his flack jacket. Totally normal.

08-20
01:07:50

Twinkie on the Inside [ATL S3E2]

The team on Atlantis betrays Michael (and all his wraith pals) again, and now they've got a couple hundred elves to look after. Not too surprisingly, since the effects of the retrovirus are not permanent, things go very, very badly. But on the bright side, despite some in-depth questioning, the Doctor, er, Woolsey decides to let Weir keep her job despite some terrible choices lately.

08-13
01:09:08

The SleepyTime Cave [SG1 S10E2]

It's permanent nap time on Vagonbrei but SG1 wants to stay up and play with science and lizards. Who wouldn't?! Vala wants to play, too but Landry first wants to make sure she can play nice with others...

08-06
59:11

Bomb 2: Even Bombier: The Re-Bombaning [ATL S3E1]

Things work out just fine for Team Shrrt, not great for Michael, pretty bad for the Daedalus, and catastrophically for the Russian's and their brand new space ship. What's the fix? More wraith retrovirus! What could go wrong?

Good episode title, but "with great hair comes great responsibility" would've been better
