Champions of 40k is a podcast that celebrates the people who make our hobby great.  This is an episode I recorded a while back with a Champion of Space Wolves and the Lord Marshall Conference. He's a man with whom I had a slightly rocky start, but as it turns out, someone with whom I have a lot in common! Brian Hunter - aka Bam - has had a hell of a life and tells a great story.  You can find the Flying Monkeys info here. That's the facebook link. It'll take you to the podcast and anything else you need to see! Go like the Champions of 40k facebook page.  Or come and say hi on Instagram - I'd love to hear from you. It's mostly hobby stuff on Insta ... but still.  I hope you enjoy the episode - Steve.
Champions of 40k is a podcast that celebrates the people who make our hobby great.  In this episode I speak with one of New Zealanbd's greatest exports - David Gaylard. He's the Karl Urban of 40k, the Peter Jackson of the hobby, the Jonah Lomu of Warhammer! Those are all names of other New Zealanders who are very good at what they do.  We speak a bit about New Zealand (naturally), a lot about what it takes to get very good at 40k, a bit about TTS, and quite a lot about lots of other stuff.  You can find the 40k Fireside podcast here. That's the youtube link.  Go like the Champions of 40k facebook page.  Or say hi on Instagram - I'd love to hear from you. It's mostly hobby stuff on Insta ... but still.  I hope you enjoy the episode - Steve.
Champions of 40k is a podcast that celebrates the people who make our hobby great.  In this episode I speak with Anthony Vanella - a man who grew up in the heart of suburbia, learned to fight, turned fighting into his living, and has now morphed that into a career as one of the best 40k players in the world.  He is vice-captain of the US WTC team, he's a coach at Art of War, and he's a specialist in the aggressive play style which has become his trademark. We talk a LOT about all of that.  You can find the Stat Check website here.  Or the Stat Check podcast here. That's the spotify link.  Go like the Champions of 40k facebook page.  Or say hi on Instagram - I'd love to hear from you. It's mostly hobby stuff on Insta ... but still.  I hope you enjoy the episode - Steve.
What is true love? And is there such a thing as love at first sight? These don't sound like very Warhammer questions - but they can be.  In this episode Steve Joll and Jake Harding talk about his journey in 40k, and also finding that army that you completely fall for. Each of us gets to that place of loving a faction in a different way. This is, partly, the story of how Jake found Votann.  You can find the Vanguard Tactics youtube channel here.  Go like the Champions of 40k facebook page.  Or say hi on Instagram - I'd love to hear from you. It's mostly hobby stuff on Insta ... but still.  I hope you enjoy the episode - Steve.
Steve Joll gets to know the people who champion all aspects of our awesome hobby - Warhammer 40,000.  In this episode, Seth the Mad Dok Oster explains his nickname, tells us how he got his start in content creation, and what led him to the seat that used to be occupied by the OG of 40k podcasting, Reece Robbins. We also discuss what happens when you fall out of love with your main army (Steve needs help).  Oh, and we talk about Orks. Painting orks, playing orks, painting orks, collecting orks, painting orks. Did I mention painting orks?    You can find Seth, Kicker and Nick's new youtube channel here. Give them a sub!  The podcast is still on the Frontline Gaming Network channel - which is in all the usual places. The Spotify link, for example, is here.  Go like the Champions of 40k facebook page.  Or say hi on Instagram - I'd love to hear from you. It's mostly hobby stuff on Insta ... but still.  I hope you enjoy the episode - Steve.
The hobby of 40k has introduced me to some of the nicest people I've ever met anywhere. One of those people is Stig from Tabletop Tactics. He was an early supporter of my podcasts, and is always one of the first to like or share the nonsense I post to instagram.  In this episode the man - who didn't earn his Ad Mech sounding nickname the way you think he did - talks to me about life before 40k, when a career as a rock n roll drummer beckoned, whether he gets recognised as a celebrity while out and about, how he fell into the famous job, and what it's really like working with Lawrence and co at Tabletop Tactics.  And, of course, why they call him Stig.  I hope you enjoy the episode - it's been a long time coming!  Steve   Check out Stig's batreps, podcasts and other content at: tabletoptactics.tv I'd love any feedback you have on the episode.
