We’re about six weeks into the new year AND it was the day after the Super Bowl - which means it was time for another unhinged episode that no one asked for.We talk about everything from how we (barely) edit the podcast, to why we both can’t gamble, to that one time Steph got lost above the Vegas Strip and even Reddit couldn’t save her. Plus, we dive into the insanity of Vegas‘ buffets & kid-unfriendly hotels, as well as some strong opinions about the train museum in Green Bay (which is exactly what you’d expect). If you feel personally victimized by this episode… we’re sorry. Unless we made you laugh. In that case, you’re welcome.Anyway, give us a 5 star rating and of course, stay introverted, y’all!
In this episode, Steph & Jay sit down with their friend Frenchie, aka The Dot Connector, who specializes in helping her (introverted) clients build a rock-solid business foundation from day one. Her approach ensures they can scale confidently, knowing they’re protected and covered every step of the way.We dive into the common mistakes so many entrepreneurs—including us—make early on, like prioritizing the flashy aspects of business (websites, sales, marketing, and scaling) before locking in the essentials: budgets, terms and conditions, and legal protections. While these things may not be the most exciting, they are absolutely critical. Being a business owner means facing challenges, and having these safeguards in place can prevent minor issues from turning into major crises.Whether you're just starting your entrepreneurial journey or have been in business for a while, this episode is a must-listen.And if you loved Frenchie’s insights, don’t forget to follow her on all the socials!
In this incredibly eye-opening conversation with author M Abeo (@facesoffortitude), Steph and Jay dive into a discussion unlike anything we’ve ever had on this podcast. We tackle tough, thought-provoking topics, from the importance of pursuing social justice—even when progress feels uncomfortable—to giving our parents grace as they navigate parenting a 30- or 40-year-old in a rapidly changing world.  We also reflect on the quiet beauty of walking before the world wakes up and challenge the idea of a “black thumb,” because we as humans are our deeply connected to our earth and its plants. M brings a wealth of unique, powerful insights, and we’re so grateful they took the time to share their light, experience, and perspective with us. This conversation was profound, and it’s easily one of our favorites— we can’t wait to have more like it. Steph and Jay deep dive into the NY Liberty's thrilling, hard-earned WNBA championship and the NY Yankees making their first World Series appearance in 15 years. But plot twist: Steph confesses that she doesn’t actually watch or know much about sports. We later explored the seasonal changes and how they (sort of) affect our moods, before spiraling into even more tangents—including the viral TikTok sensation, Maxwell the Cat. It’s full of twists, turns, tangents and unexpected laughs. But hey, that’s just Our MO—we wouldn’t have it any other way.
It’s been a while since it was just Jay and Steph on an episode, so this conversation was a real treat. We got into everything from Jay’s strange background check stories and the endless debate over where “upstate” New York really begins, to the delightful chaos of the English language. Of course, we also took a serious moment to celebrate our love for authentic NY pizza (which, let’s be real, you can only get in New York) and the unmatched NY food scene. Hope you enjoy this chat as much as we did, and we’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the new intro! Stay introverted, y’all!
