Great podcast, thank you Preet. My comment/question is for Mr. Rosenburg, but I would appreciate hearing from you or other listeners that have insight on this topic as well. I think the comment about cultural change in regards to US prescription pain killer use is true and important, but what I am wondering about is what role pharmaceutical companies play in this epidemic and to what extent they should be held accountable? They are in a sense the dealer of these drugs, regardless of the legality of it.

If I remember correctly, the reason we are the biggest consumers of oxycodone is because other countries use codeine instead. They don't see the need to prescribe oxys.

Donald Trump ran on a platform of not taking special interest money yet, it is now widely accepted that The NRA gave 30 million to his effort? could you explain that if possible. And where does NRA get all that money from? Surely their dues don't equal that much. Also a good episode would be on the Simpsons predictions. Really fascinating. Keep up the good work Preet.

What a refreshing break from the round table madness often on display in the 24 hour news cycle. Preet and his guests are erudite and know their stuff. A great source of real news!

HI Preet - Here is a quote of Donald Trump 'One of the key problems today is that politics is such a disgrace, good people don't go into politics.' before he entered politics Theodore Roosevelt - quote 'To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.'

I love Preet's podcasts. This exchange with Kasparov is especially insightful. His analytical and, I believe, accurate take on Trump's affiliation with Russia reflects his chess genius. Politics is, after all, a game of significant strategy.
