This week, we're returning to Silent Hill yet again to discuss the survival horror series newest offering; Silent Hill F. What does the F stand for? Well no spoilers but my current best guess is frenemy. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
It's hard out here for a podcast. But not when we're showing love to the coolest of the cool Lily Allen. Join us as we talk about current tiktok trends, Allen's amazing songwriting prowess, and how deeply uncomfortable we are with a freaked out David Harbour. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
Alas, spooky season has ended, but we have one last scare for you! Specifically, Chuck Tingle's 2023 novel Camp Damascus, a supernatural horror story about conversion therapy. What's more terrifying than ignorance and hate disguised as religious dogma? Ignorance and hate disguised as religious dogma that also makes you vomit flies. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
The spooky month has reached its end with a new spooky anthology found footage film. Happy ween! Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
One two, a spooky podcast episode is coming for you...We're back with another scary movie! This week it's the iconic Freddy's Revenge, originally mocked for its queer subtext, but rediscovered as a cult classic by more modern generations. If you like gay camp with a side of gore, don't sleep on this movie! Or, you know, in general when Freddy Krueger is involved. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
I'd like to play a podcast... This week we're continuing our horror movie marathon with 2004's Saw, the first in the long running franchise of nightmare traps and confusing timelines. Join us as we discuss John Kramer's questionable moral campaign against taking life for granted, and who's job prepares them the most to cut their own foot off. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
As our spooky month of scary movie reviews rolls on, we're checking out the newest installment in the horror series that made every millennial afraid of log trucks; Final Destination. Bloodlines is serving Rube Goldberg machines of doom to the next generation, with plenty of nods to its legacy. Can death be outsmarted? Maybe. But not in the presence of an MRI machine. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
It's Halloween season and you know what that means; we're bringing you a month straight of spooky movie discussion. This week, join us as we discuss the newly released Weapons. Is it just a scary movie about evil magic, or a meditation on the current woes haunting our country? Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, but a giant rifle in the sky might suggest some symbolism? Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
This week we're bringing you podcasting at any cost! And by that we mean we're discussing the current hit tv show Peacemaker. Is redemption possible? Can we overcome the toxic indoctrination of our past? Does anyone actually know what an eagle looks like? All that and more on this episode of Still Buffering. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
This is a tribute to the best podcast episode in Still Buff history, BUT NOT the actual episode. We forgot to record that one. Anyway, while we're at it, we're discussing Tenacious D, and reasserting how attractive Jack Black is yet again. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
I know you have a little life in you left..for this week's episode all about M3GAN 2.0, the return of our favorite murderous robot gay icon. Will she dance, will she sing, will she have multiple wig reveals? Of course she will. Join us as we discuss camp, horror, and the metaphor of mothering a murder machine. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
It's September which pretty much rounds up to Halloween, so we're starting spooky season and watching Clown in a Cornfield. How can we possibly get Gen Z and Millennials to join forces? By making them realize they have a common enemy, and that enemy is an evil boomer clown. It works on many levels really. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
This week we're discussing the cross-generational favorite, They Might Be Giants. Whether teaching you geography or about the dangers of capitalism and conformity, it's nice to have a band the whole family can enjoy! Completely unrelated, don't put 600 pound 2 legged tables in your restaurant. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
This week we're joined by two very special, spoiler free guests, as we discuss the new hit K-Pop Demon Hunters. Fighting! Magic! Romance! Birds in little hats they stole from mythical tigers! We're discussing a film that really does have it all. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a podcast! (That's actually three very weird things to confuse, are you good?) Anyway, we make the jump from John Waters to the Man of Steel this week, as we discuss the new Superman movie, and whether or not Clark Kent is the punkest guy around. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
We have a final entry into our little mini-series on the iconic John Waters, with his murderous matron of mayhem, Serial Mom. Join us as we discuss this dark comedy, that's sort of like Dexter, if Dexter made really good meatloaf. White shoes after labor day have finally met their match! Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
This week we continue our John Waters rewatch with 1990's iconic greaser musical, Cry-Baby! Don't be a square, join us! Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
This week we begin a mini-series on the Pope of Trash himself, John Waters. First up, the shocking Pink Flamingos. Look, I could list all the triggers in this film, but um, if you can think of something that may offend or defile you, it's there. Buyer Beware. Join us as we ponder the question; is there some freeing divinity to be found through extreme cinema? Who knows, but there's certainly Divine. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
This week, we're back on the road with another iconic piece of queer cinema. If I had a nickel every time someone made a movie about three drag queens road tripping together and discovering important truths along the way, I'd have two nickels, and frankly I'd happily have more. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas
Our pride movie review not only rolls along, it's on a road trip! First stop, the iconic adventures of Priscilla,Queen of the Desert. Gather your queens and check your engine light, while we discuss this heartwarming as it is fabulous drag classic. Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by http://nouvellas.bandcamp.com/">Nouvellas

silicon straws are the BEST!! Not only can you reuse them for a really long time, but also if you feel the need to chew on the ends, you can do that. It feels better than chewing on plastic straws. (I'm autistic and straw chewing seems common, so I'm sure there are other autistic people who would also love these. )
Very good so far.
Just starting this today.
Syd being self-conscious about her orders = #relatable . I'm vegan *and* allergic to the most popular vegan ingredients (beans, including soy). I apologize the entire time In ordering and asking questions, then I tip 25%
My favorite Brendan Frasier role, and my favorite episode of Scrubs
I like Ted as lawyer representation because, before him, the only tv or movie lawyers I saw were either evil sleeze or Erin Brockovich style savior, and most lawyers I've met are normal people except with intensely exhausting jobs that take far too many hours per week
If I were looking for a new doctor and one of the doctors on their website had pink hair, I'd specifically ask for that one
69, my friends. How was that even a question? 😆
omg there's a states song? Wish I had that when I was a kid. I remember everything better in music
Ohh Degrassi .. I watched the original and the remake!!!
ENM (ethical non monogamy) and poly aren't interchangeable words. It's a rectangles/squares thing. If you're poly, you're under the umbrella of ENM, but there are many ways to be ENM (thruples. open relationships, relationship anarchy, swapping, more). Of course, the point the siblings made still stands which is that the movie demonstrated not informed and not consenting, so just NM with no ethics.
I recognize all the flaws and the fact that it didn't age well, but High Fidelity (book AND movie) will always hold a special place in my heart. 🙃
do they ever fix Teylor's mic?? this episode in particular was really hard to listen to.
Writing this before listening to the episode -- here is the order of the Grinches IMO: 1. the absolutely perfect original 1966 animated version based on the fantastic Dr. Seuss book; 2. the surprisingly super fun 2000 live action iteration, which I fully expected to hate but which is now on my annual "Must See" holiday list, starring Jim Carrey; 3. the unnecessary, just "meh" 2018 animation that nobody asked for, and that, quite frankly, I really don't remember; and... 4. the Grinch Musical that I never plan to see because it's even more unnecessary than the 2018 animation. Hoping the hosts agree with me -- now to listen and find out!
as an aroace who has zero interest in ever dating, this episode is fascinating in the same way as learning about a foreign culture
Teylor has some weird audio issues in this one. it's frustrating to listen to.
I'm still very sad they dont call q&a questions "my sister my sister and me"
Love the Fringe references
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is "Never get involved in a land war in Asia," but only slightly less well known is this: "Never go in against a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line! Ha, ha, ha, ha....(falls over dead.)
