Stories from Among the Stars
Description
This season we return to the stars with J. S. Dewes’s acclaimed space-epic THE LAST WATCH. The Expanse meets Game of Thrones in this fast-paced, sci-fi adventure, where a handful of soldiers stand between humanity and annihilation.
The Divide.
It’s the edge of the universe.
Now it’s collapsing—and taking everyone and everything with it.
The only ones who can stop it are the Sentinels—the recruits, exiles, and court-martialed dregs of the military.
At the Divide, Adequin Rake commands the Argus. She has no resources, no comms—nothing, except for the soldiers that no one wanted. Her ace in the hole could be Cavalon Mercer--genius, asshole, and exiled prince who nuked his grandfather's genetic facility for “reasons.”
She knows they’re humanity's last chance.
Please can the publishers tidy up the numbering of episodes. I'm listening to "Sleeping under a sea of stars" which is released 2 eps at a time. The numbering often makes the player skip one.
Loved the steal the stars series. The rest felt dry.
The playback jumps around. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
A lot of people are complaining about the Steal the Stars finale. If you're a fan of horror fiction, though, you're more likely to enjoy it. I was iffy about the story throughout most of it, but stuck around because of how deftly it avoided the usual tired tropes. At the finale, I went from, "Well, that was unexpected" to "Hahaha yeah, get 'em". Also, dear everyone, stop comparing every SF/F romance to fricking Twilight. That's as ridiculous as comparing every superhero story to Howard the Duck.
Note for whoever wrote the description: Sibling Dex is a "they", not a "him".

Holy shit, this episode was so fucking intense!
oh wow. Great story so far,,, but poor Andy!
thanks for making these novels available for us!!
My god this is so boring. It lacks any engagement qualities...
great book 👍
The guy who plays Matt Salem sounds like ANDI on Marsfall
Only a few episodes in. The story doesn't seem half bad but listening to this man trying to play a woman is making continuing really difficult. I could almost forget but they keep injecting sex and gender. It's like hitting the curtain in a live performance, reminding the audience this isn't real, making full emersion a suspension of belief.
The main character reminds me so much of Jane Lynch, ala her character on Wreck it Ralph...
not gonna lie. it had me all the way up until the last episode. I dont like the ending but the rest was good.
loved it. casting was spot on. listened to the entire series 2x!
lead character sounds like a man... really throwing me off
I'm amazed at the negative comments here. I thought it was great. Not what i expected at all and the ending left me completely going wrf. and to the people complaining about her voice, wow, way to insult someone for not being sexy. The voice fits the character. Tough as nails exterior. I really enjoyed it. I would recommend that you like good noir not melodramatic noir, love stories aren't usually my thing but I would say if you like some you'll like this more, and the ending is not even close to what I expected. I'm not talking M. Night What-A-Twist kind of twist eother. Give it a try, if you don't like it, don't insult the actors. I personally found the voice of Dak hard to get used to at first because I didn't feel the character yet. by the end I felt her as the character and it felt very fleshed out. i loved her.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
i was into it until it became a sappy love story, and dudes lady voice is unbearable
