Shannon Norris was diagnosed with Breast Cancer November 2016. While going through chemotherapy, she decided she would give back to her fellow adult cancer "Warriors"! Born 9 weeks premature at the weight of 4lbs, 3 ounces, Michael Nicholas II was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Meet Mia Johnson, she openly shares the details and journey of her life having been born to a drug-addicted and alcoholic mother, placed in foster care with her brother at 1 1/2 yrs old, lived in numerous foster homes, sexually abused by her brother and her brother-in-law, became a juvenile delinquent, running away, did drugs, homeless at 16 and was looking for love in all the wrong places, until one day she decided to go to Job Corp and change her life. Kimberly is 24 years old, and at the age of 8, she was diagnosed with Raynaud's and Scleroderma, and at the age of 21, she was diagnosed with Anti Phosphospholipid syndrome (APS. She has what you may have heard and know is an autoimmune disease that has undoubtedly changed her life. Her disease has taken her through many struggles such as the rollercoaster of weight gain, 2 strokes and loss being a dark place, and losing 7 of her fingers, but she remains optimistic through her journey believing in the beauty of second chances. Darci Collins's only daughter, Cheyann Shaw was diagnosed at the age of 23 with a rare form of ovarian cancer called low-grade serous ovarian cancer. This type of cancer was resistant to chemo and was stage 4 and terminal. Halloween 2016 Cheyann had 6-6.5 hour debulking surgery, where she had 4 blood transfusions, part of the colon, part of the bladder, and part of the small intestines, were removed, which caused a temporary ileostomy bag, her appendix, gallbladder, lymph nodes, spleen, and 5 tumors removed, one was the size of a beach ball. Cheyann's determination to beat cancer never went unnoticed and she fought every day through diet and her regular workouts. January 2021, Cheyann lost her battle to ovarian cancer, but her legacy lives on through the journey she documented along the way.
