He was drunk indicating why he would be going so slow, it’s even shown on cctv that he was walking very slowly home after the club. The neighbors heard his door open and close and someone running down the stairs at 2:38 that morning. That someone was the murderer in my OP. This case definitely needs to be seen with fresh eyes and dna from watch turned in to CODIS for any hits.

Sue was the target. She knew about drug involvement from the guy's wife. She advised his wife to tell the cops, including his informant status. She had to go.
