Description

From Executive Producer Patrick Hinds and the Obsessed Network comes a new podcast about all the things that make us wonder. Each week, we’ll tell you a true story that will fascinate and terrify you: a family who receive letters from a “Watcher” after moving into their new house, a hotel that’s seen so much death that it has to be cursed, UFO encounters, hauntings, Bigfoot sightings, and so much more. Written and hosted by Tony Award-winning actor and celebrated writer Daisy Eagan, “Strange and Unexplained” is a journey into the uncomfortable and the unknowable that will leave you both laughing and sleeping with the lights on.

Broadway’s St. James and Belasco Theatres are said to be two of the most haunted theatres in the country, and Daisy has worked at both of them. This week, she’ll share the haunted history of each, tell you what she experienced there, and share the terrifying ghostly encounters of others that have become theatre - and paranormal -legend.COME HANG WITH US ON SOCIAL MEDIA! This week: Two stories of large groups of people vanishing—completely disappearing without a trace—in the world’s most notorious body of water: The Bermuda Triangle. Part 1 takes place LAST YEAR when a boat carrying about 20 passengers set sail from the Bahamas headed to Florida, but never made it. Part 2 tells the story of a routine test flight in which 6 planes and 27 airmen, yes, TWENTY SEVEN AIRMEN, lost contact with ground control and vanished without a trace of any human or plane every being recovered. Their final transmissions with the mainland alone will have you sleeping with the lights on. PLUS all the theories—some of them pretty bonkers—about what is going on there. In June 2014, Derek and Maria Broaddus bought their dream home in Westfield, New Jersey—a 6-bedroom, 3.5-bath mansion at 657 Boulevard. Just days later, before the family even moved in, they received their first letter from “The Watcher.” The Watcher said they had been watching the house for decades—watching the house was their job, their life. “Do you know the history of the house?” the letter asked. “Do you know what lies within the walls of 657 Boulevard? Why are you here? I will find out.” And that was just the beginning of the nightmare. Come hang out with us on social media! From Executive Producer Patrick Hinds and the Obsessed Network comes a new podcast about all the weird stuff happening around us.Do you believe in ghosts? How about bigfoot? Do you think it’s strange and fascinating that a 4 year old in Oklahoma could look at a black and white picture of a man from the 1930s and say ‘that was me. Before.” And then provide actual, verifiable details of the man’s life? If so, “Strange and Unexplained With Daisy Eagan” is about to be your new favorite podcast.Daisy is a Tony Award-winning actor, writer, and true crime fanatic. But she’s also a skeptic. Each week She looks at real stories of hauntings, disappearances, UFO encounters, the Bermuda Triangle, near death experiences, and anything else that feels just beyond what we can easily make sense of. She is your guide into the inexplicable details of these stories. But she’s also like, “show me the receipts.”

I’d like to continue listening just less with the politics. Can’t we just have podcasts be podcasts? How is it that somehow politics just slip in without having anything to do with the subject?

continuing to listen..... but it's apparent that history, religion, and politics are as important to you as the word science.... which, going by what you said in this episode, you dont understand... ugh. Sometimes, your podcast can just be about the topic instead of being loaded down with ridiculous radical politically driven op eds.

Actually Obama and Democrat extremism/idiocy are how you elect a reality TV star which happened to be an extremly wealthy business man, first and foremost.... since you wanted to go there. ;) Now we have an idiot as president, so......waaay better, right?.... lol

I could do without the political comments and bias to the show. I know that's the popular thing to do now, but I wish podcasts that aren't political could stay that way. Your potentially going to only appeal to half of the country or less when you do so.

Bloody terrifying and infuriating! Seems to be a creepy neighbour with too much time on their hands? I don't like the phrase 'young blood' used over and over! It's gross!😅😣 #StrangeAndUnexplained

The subject matter is interesting but I definitely could do without the personal opinions and commentary. Maybe that is a stale opinion but I think that the topics could be told without the host's unnecessary jokes. It's not unbearable but it does grate on the nerves. Maybe if the commentary was scaled back a bit, I could handle it in the smaller doses. I just feel that the breaking away from the subject to crowbar in a joke every five minutes is a tad bit too much.

I wish that this presenter was as funny and engaging as she believes she is, for then this podcast of well worn stories would be funny and engaging indeed. And the stories would be less grating without the "he was like..." set ups. Professionally done, but a poor choice in presentation style.

Does anyone else think that the person reading The Watcher's letters sounds like Dwight from The Office? 😂 Great podcast, looking forward to more episodes!
