Mallacht an Ghiorria or "Curse of the Hare" explores folklore and history around the Derryveagh evictions of 1861 in County Donegal, Ireland. Fitzgerald continues this cultural regeneration work with ‘Dúchas na nDaoine,’ a volunteer-led community garden for recovery, fostering well being through story, heritage, and Irish language. Their previous work includes two highly illustrated books on Irish myths, Irish folk magic, and Ulster folklore.
