As a fan and a content creator I can no longer rely on something that doesn't care about you. Baseball didn't care about it's fans through the lockout it just seemed that way so they would look good in the public's eye. Not to mention the Reds have betrayed their fans by not knowing how to get out of the word: Rebuild. From now on I will have a more extensive genre to my podcast. My podcast will be called: The Overrated and The Underrated. All the people who subscribed to my podcast will be subscribed to my new one, and will still be able to listen to my old episodes if they want to. Thank You all for the help specifically Josh Pederson on the logo and Anderson Davis on the intro, thank you again for the support as I venture into a new chapter in my podcasting career.
David Ortiz gets accepted into the Hall for the class of 2022! Joe Nathan and Jonathan Papelbon, sadly and surprisingly fall off the ballot. Scott Rolen and Todd Helton claim more votes as they climb up the mountain and are almost at the peak. Billy Wagner still trying to fight for votes, but it looks like it will be really hard to get there. Falling off the ballot in their tenth year is: Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Curt Schilling, and Sammy Sosa. MLB proposes a new CBA agreement after the MLBPA turns the other one down. Maybe we will get to some baseball.
Bring back Ken Rosenthal! #BringBackMr.Bowtie
Maybe we will actually get some actual news! The MLB and the CBA have started to talk about agreements with the MLB coming out with a statement about their offer they gave to the CBA. Jon Lester a former world series champion and all-star retires after 16 long seasons in the MLB, so does Melky Cabrera after he spends 15 seasons in the MLB. I guess lockouts can stop a lot of things, but not retirements. If you haven't subscribed to the podcast yet please do so, so you can get your weekly updates on MLB baseball. I hope we will get some actual news.
I am sorry for the short episodes lately there is really nothing to talk about and I am bored out of my mind. Ben Lively signed a minor league deal with the Cincinnati Reds, but that's about it. Let's see what happens next week, but really I am just crying for some baseball right now.
It has been a well known fantasy to try to win 1 million dollars trying to acquire a perfect March Madness Bracket. Today we change up the tables a bit and I ask the question, "What if it's possible to get a Perfect Zero Score March Madness Bracket?" The legend has gone on that some people have claimed to get a perfect bracket, but with recent technology we have found that it is hard to confirm. But yet still I wonder, is it possible to get a Perfect Zero Bracket? Today I picked all the lower seeds and teams I thought would lose to try to get that Perfect Zero Score on my bracket. Will it happen? Who knows? All I know that it I'm an idiot and I just want to see that goose egg after the first round.
If you haven't subscribed to the podcast go ahead and do so, and think to yourself, can you get a perfect zero bracket? Let's find out and see.
Bracket Used: Women's Tournament
We finally made it to the end of the year, through the ups and the downs, the hurts and the praises, we finally end on week number 52 and I complete my first ever podcast of my career. Finally. Today we will be talking about my 5 Ups and 5 Downs from the MLB Year. Their will be some controversial moments, their will be some great moments, but all in all this was a good MLB year even though we had to end on a lockout. A special thanks to Anderson Davis for the awesome intro music that helped my podcast get even better from that lousy first intro I had. A special thanks to Josh Pederson for the awesome logo that supremely surpassed my dinky old other one. And a big special thanks to all my listeners out there, I never thought we would eclipse 350 plays, but here we are ending the year with over 550! You guys are awesome! Now the question is: Will I be talking about baseball next year? Who knows? But for now I am going take it one step at a time, and give you guys my podcasting, talking skills, to the best of my ability! Thank you all so much, and for those people who haven't subscribed yet, please do so, cause everybody else is doing it.
Merry Christmas Oakland... You got a new manager! Mark Kotsay a former big leaguer and first round pick becomes the new manager for the Oakland Athletics and will take the helm and lead them into a bright future... regarding we'll have a season next year. Jake Bauers signs a minors deal with the Cincinnati Reds, and no he is not a pitcher. Come on Cincy! Even when their is little error to screw up, you still do! Merry Christmas to everybody, sorry for such a short episode but with this lockout there really isn't anything to talk about. Hopefully we'll have a season next year. But still enjoy the holidays and keep in that baseball spirit... even if it doesn't have spirit in you!
MLB you have got two weeks before I dump this podcast and move to something else... Please agree by Christmas that would be a great gift. Today I give you my 2022 MLB Hall of Fame ballot and who I think should get in. We'll talk about controversy and the Hall of What Could Have Been. Please stay tuned in the MLB year as we try to get back to some baseball. Sorry for the Late Cut on the episode, I ran out of time and I only have a limited time to do an episode. Please subscribe to the podcast if you haven't, so you can get your weekly updates on MLB Baseball. Our 50th Episode!!!!!!
I am soooooooo booooorrrrreeeeeddddd! I can't take it anymore, can we please get some real baseball news! Waiting in a lockout is so hard, I now have to make my OWN CONTENT! Can you believe that! This week I review my predictions from this past year and give my thoughts on them. If you would like to check them out, it is Week 8 of this Podcast, titled: My MLB predictions for 2021. We will have some Hall of Fame inductees this year, in fact six! Here they are: Gil Hodges, Tony Oliva, Jim Kaat, Minnie Minoso, Buck O'Neill, and Bud Fowler. Congratulations to them all to become enshrined with baseball's finest. No CBA agreement yet, but hopefully there will be soon so we can get some true content for this year. If haven't subscribed yet please do so, so you can get your weekly updates on MLB Baseball. If we have any!
We as baseball fans have the right to be upset! We were told by our commissioner that a deal with the CBA was going to happen by December 1st. It's December 4th and we still have no deal!!! Marcus Semien and Corey Seager both make huge splashes in Texas as they sign with the Rangers, and both their deals combined results in 500 million dollars spent by the Rangers. I guess as they say, "Everything is bigger in Texas." Robbie Ray heads the Mariners while Javy Baez heads to mo-town to join the Detroit Tigers. Mad Max is taking over Queens as he signs a massive deal with the New York Mets, he signs a 3 year 130 million dollar deal, that makes him the highest paid per year pitcher in history. The CBA agreement has expired and yes that means we are in a lockout. If you go on any MLB website it's like a ghost town, the players faces are not shown, you can't even find any with a face, it's so sad, almost like a civil war. Rob Manfred just cut the line and needs to go. The MLBPA will never agree with him and we know it, two different people from two different angles, it's pretty hard to agree on. Just please hope that there will be a season next year. If you haven't subscribed to the podcast please do so, to get your weekly updates on MLB Baseball. Let's see if we can come to an agreement this next week.
Light the Hot Stove! I can't wait to advance into the offseason! Wander Franco signs a HUGE megadeal extension with the Tampa Bay Rays! But is it a good thing? What if Wander becomes a bust of a signing? Is this megadeal too early to sign? The Mets lost a lot of players to Free Agency this past season, but now their saying, "We don't need them we'll just get better people!" And they have! Starling Marte, Eduardo Escobar, and Mark Canha have all signed deals with the New York Mets and all are great additions! Not to mention, but they are also talking to a former Cy Young winner. Anybody heard of Max Scherzer? Seattle is turning heads as well, as they complete a trade with the San Diego Padres, and they acquire former All-Star: Adam Frazier in exchange for minor leaguers Ryan Kerr and Corey Rosier. The offseason is just beginning I cannot wait to see what happens next! If you haven't subscribed to the podcast yet, please do so, so you can get your weekly updates on MLB Baseball. Let's move a week forward and see what other big deals there will be.
1 vote... 1 vote... 1 vote was all that was needed for Jonathan India to win NL Rookie of the Year unanimously... I'm looking at you, you beat writer from Cincinnati! The BBWAA Award winners were announced this past week and some came with some surprises and some interesting looks. Should have Corbin Burnes won the Cy Young? Should have Kevin Cash won the AL MOY? All these questions are up for debate in the week's episode. Anyway here are your 2021 MLB Award winners: AL ROY: Randy Arozarena, NL ROY: Jonathan India, NL MOY: Gabe Kapler, AL MOY: Kevin Cash, AL Cy Young: Robbie Ray, NL Cy Young: Corbin Burnes, AL MVP: Shohei Ohtani (unanimous) NL MVP: Bryce Harper, AL Reliever of the Year: Liam Hendricks, NL Reliever of the Year: Josh Hader. Jonathan India becomes the first Reds position player to win the Rookie of the Year since Chris Sabo in 1988! Robbie Ray becomes the first Blue Jay to win the Cy Young since Roy Halladay in 2003! Other news: Eduardo Rodriguez signs 5-year deal with the Detroit Tigers, Noah Syndergaard signs a 1-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels, and Justin Verlander returns to the Astros on a 1-year deal with a player option for 2023. If you haven't subscribed yet, please do so to get your weekly updates on MLB Baseball, let's see what happens next week in Baseball!
5 Cardinals... let me wipe my eyes off... 5 CARDINALS! The Gold Glove winners are announced for this year and 5 St. Louis Cardinals win Gold Gloves, which is amazing. Big shout out from where I live, which is near Wright State University, a shout out to Athletics catcher, Sean Murphy for winning his first Gold Glove, way to represent the Raiders! The BBWAA awards finalists were announced this past week for all the major awards and here are the finalists: AL MVP: Marcus Semien, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Shohei Ohtani. NL MVP: Bryce Harper, Juan Soto, and Fernando Tatis Jr. AL Cy Young: Gerrit Cole, Lance Lynn, and Robbie Ray. NL Cy Young: Corbin Burnes, Max Scherzer, and Zach Wheeler. AL ROY: Randy Arozarena, Wander Franco, and Luis Garcia. NL ROY: Dylan Carlson, Jonathan India, and Trevor Rogers. AL MOY: Dusty Baker, Brian Cash, and Scott Servais. NL MOY: Craig Counsell, Gabe Kapler, and Mike Shildt. Other news, is that the San Francisco Giants sign their manager Gabe Kapler through 2024 and that J.D. Martinez opts in on his contract with the Boston Red Sox. I would like to shout out to all my listeners as we have just eclipsed 500 total plays! If you haven't subscribed to the podcast yet please do so to get your weekly updates on MLB Baseball.
You know that dramatic song when somebody wins something or your favorite team wins something... Oh if you could see my face now! Your new Champions of the World, winning the World Series in 6 games and proving MLB why they should have held the All-Star Game in Atlanta, The Atlanta Braves have won the 2021 World Series and I have finally got a big prediction right! Y'all can go back to week number 8 and listen to my predictions, because I got it down to a T. Sad but refreshing news, is that long time Giants legend and catcher Buster Posey hangs up the cleats after 12 long and illustrious seasons that featured him winning a Gold Glove, Rookie of the Year, and the coveted MVP. So long Buster and we wish you a good life after baseball. Here's to you hopefully getting in the Hall of Fame someday. The Free Agent market finally opens up as we see some of the biggest names out there today. Nick Castellanos opts out of his contract (unsurprisingly) and the Tigers get their starting backstop in Tucker Barnhart in a trade wit the Reds. Please subscribe if you haven't to the podcast to get your weekly updates in MLB Baseball, now let's hit the Hot Stove season running.
Oh what a joy it is, to not see Dodger blue in the World Series! Oh what a joy it is! The Atlanta Braves advance to face the Houston Astros in the 2021 MLB World Series, which has already had two games, and the series tied 1-1. This will be the first time I actually will appreciate the World Series this year, since the Dodgers aren't in it! Oh what a joy! The San Diego Padres go out and make a couple of hires after firing their manager, Jayce Tingler. They hire a new pitching coach in Ruben Niebla, and a new manager, in former A's manager, Bob Melvin. With Melvin's experience the Padres should look like a better team this year. The BBWAA awards are on the horizon as they announced the Gold Glove finalists this week. Let's see who will win the awards this year. Please subscribe to the podcast if you haven't yet, to get your weekly updates of MLB Baseball. And I thank all of my listeners to sticking with it so far, as we advance into week number 44.
Both the NLCS and the ALCS head into pivotal Game 6's with the Braves squaring off against the Dodgers at home, while the Red Sox go to Houston to take on the Astros. With a win for the Braves or Astros, they will both advance into the 2021 World Series! And I might get a prediction right for the first time! But... there is always a but. If the Red Sox or Dodgers win, it will force decisive Game 7's. What will happen? The Braves have been coming up clutch and make a statement as they led the series against the Dodgers 3 games to 1. The now head home to face Max Scherzer, and have a chance to get to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1999. For the Astros it's a chance to prove all the haters wrong! To get back to the Fall Classic and show everyone that they are a good team and that they don't have to cheat to win. Who is going to take it all? Will upsets happen? Will we see a new team in the World Series? Will I finally get a prediction right? Probably not. But who cares, what will happen? We will just have to wait and see. Subscribe to the podcast if you haven't already to get your weekly updates on MLB Baseball, and thank you to all my listeners who have kept with the podcast, let us venture deeper in to playoff baseball.
We all know by now that whenever I make a prediction you should never listen... correct? My playoff bracket has broke and it shattered into a million pieces as upsets occurred this week in the MLB playoffs. The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading back to the NLCS as they beat the San Francisco Giants in an epic Division Series and Game 5 bout. The Boston Red Sox shock everybody as they beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3 games to 1 in the division series. The Atlanta Braves pull off their own stunner as well as they beat the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLDS 3 games to 1. The Championship Series' are set. In the ALCS we have the Boston Red Sox taking on the Houston Astros, and in the NLCS we have the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Atlanta Braves. What will happen? Who will win? Don't ask me, I'll never get it right. Don't forget to subscribe to this podcast to get your weekly updates on MLB Playoff Baseball.
Wow! Is it just me, or is Randy Arozarena a playoff monster?!? The best time to be a Major League Baseball fan is here as the 2021 MLB Playoffs have already started. We have already seen a walk off home run to win a intense wild card game, and a player steal home in a semi-blowout game. What is to come next? Well I think I might be able to tell you, as I make my official UPDATED 2021 MLB Playoff predictions. Here in this episode I will pick who will win not only the World Series but also the NLCS, ALCS, NLDS', and ALDS'. These playoff's are probably going to be the best ones we are going to see in a while. We have got great pitching going up against some high powered offenses, and sprinkle in some flashy defense and you got yourself the best games you'll ever see on live TV. Not only will I make my semi-educated guesses on these playoff series, but I will also make my predictions on who will win the NLCS MVP, ALCS MVP, and the World Series MVP. Sit back and relax as you listen to my updated MLB Playoff predictions. Our 40th episode!
