You may not have heard of him, but Anthony Constantino has been in the news lately, and it's not for his stand-up comedy routine, his boxing prowess, or his role as CEO of Sticker Mule in Amsterdam. He hit the national spotlight when he was involved in a legal battle with the Mayor of Amsterdam over a sign he placed on top of his building. Now, Constantino has announced his intention to run for the 21st Congressional District seat, which Congresswoman Elise Stefanik will vacate when she becomes Ambassador to the United Nations. Stefanik's district covers all of Herkimer County. The interview covers his childhood, background, company, and, as we said during the show, everything from stickers to missile defense. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/studio25/support

It is a story about six men, over three generations and across decades of the 40s, 50s, and 60s, in Frankfort, New York. Due to the passing of time, these six men's lives all intersected to varying degrees, but the daily living experience for each of them over thirty-plus years never varied. On this episode of Small Town Life, host Dave Warner interviews author William L. Kidder, who just completed the book 'Defending Fort Stanwix.' It's a story of the New York Frontier during the American Revolution. The book focuses on the successful defense of Fort Stanwix, located in what is today Rome, New York. Fort Stanwix played an important role in the 1777 Saratoga campaign, which resulted in the capture of British forces led by General John Burgoyne. This campaign is widely considered to be a major turning point in the American Revolution. Burgoyne’s surrender raised Patriot morale and contributed to the formation of the alliance with France, which contributed greatly to victory in the War for Independence. In the epilogue, Kidder sketches the postwar lives of some of the fort’s prominent defenders, outlines the fort’s decommissioning and fall into ruin, and describes its late twentieth-century reconstruction and designation as a national monument. As Kidder says in the interview, you can pick up copies of the book at the Fort Plain Free Library, or you can pre-order it on Amazon. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/studio25/support

We've all got these phones in our pockets, and they take great pictures, right? They can also create videos, but how about making something intentional - more than just a clip of the kid swinging in the park, the birthday party, or the house on fire down the street? Not that all of those things aren't interesting, but what if it was something longer form - more planned, creative, and maybe interesting? Dave Warner interviews Austin and Sean Green, who will hold the first two classes at Studio 25 on West Mill St. to help you learn more about making videos with your smartphone. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/studio25/support

Infused with a sense of place and the “terroir” of times gone by, we present an American spirit with a “New Scottish” soul." --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/studio25/support
It was 50 years ago, but Dr. Carol Thomas Reinson and James M. Ebetino, J.D., felt that the Little Falls High School Open School Experience deserved some study. In the 1970s, Little Falls implemented an innovative approach to education in this public high school, grades 9-12.  Their impression has been that many community members had considered the Open School Experience approach to learning to have been a negative educational experiment in the City's history. Host Dave Warner interviews the pair to find out more. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/studio25/support
