Rachael recently took a social media "break" for 14 days recently, and in this episode she breaks down the 14 things she learned and now has a heightened awareness of.  Some she kinda knew already, some were solidified and some were straight up eye-openers :) Enjoy!
In this episode, Rachael makes a case for the identity crisis we are experiencing and that our kids, generation alpha, is experiencing in our society right now. How do we reframe the mindset of our own identity and place in this world?  How do we put an emphasis on "facts" over "feelings"? Listen in to hear Rachael's take how to cure this infectious mindset :)
This quote from Usain Bolt, Olympic Gold Medalist, struck me: "I trained for 4 years to run 6 seconds and people quit after 2 weeks because of no results." DAMN. This prompted me to identify the framework I use to maintain the "No Quit Mentality" ... and how it applies to multiple areas of our lives, from business to fitness.
This episode does not come with a trigger warning.  Rachael's HOT TAKE: emotional triggers have become a mainstream way to justify emotional outbursts toward others. When we wrap our mind around the fact that how we RESPOND to other peoples' words and actions is OUR responsiblity, our emotions no longer have control over us. Listen in to hear how Rachael learned to overcome emotional reactions from triggers - even justifiable ones - utilizing communication, patience, and the impact player mentality.
Have you ever struggled with NOT being "okay" if someone doesn't like you? Or maybe you *think* someone doesn't like you, and you continue to play a soundtrack in your head of doubt, non-truths and stories (because that's what we inherently do) and then you spin out in fear? We all do. I break down the mindset, strategies I use and tactics of how to "be okay not being liked" - listen in, and enjoy :)
What does it mean to "maximize your potential"? HOW do you get to the next season without carrying all the "baggage" from the previous? Years ago, Rachael learned an analogy (from her Mom, thanks Becki!) about thinking of your inner dialogue as a "whiteboard" - and the framework around continuing to "erase" the stuff that doesn't suit you. Here, Rachael walks you through the 3-part framework of utilizing the metaphor of your Whiteboard and building confidence & raising your standards in every area of life in order to maximize your full potential in this life!
In 2004, Rachael learned one of the greatest mindset lessons of her life: You are responsible for what you do, You are responsible for what you don't do, but most importantly... You are responsible for how you react to what happens to you. Listen in to her story of terrifying facial paralysis, how it shifted her mindset to extreme ownership, and how she's carried that throughout her life and YOU CAN TOO. Enjoy :)
In this episode, Rachael shares her top 4 "rules"; what she attributes a lot of her relationship success with her Alpha husband, best friend, business partner to. Listen in and enjoy!
You ever experience the "cycle of shame"? That internal voice that basically says "f*** it, I've blown this ____ [diet, gym routine, habit] anyways, so I might as well ....." ? We all have. In this episode, Rachael walks through her journey and mindset into building fitness and health into a foundational pillar of her life; how it took her from a overweight, sloth-like, negative young 20's woman who projected her insecurities onto those around her, into a confident, takes-ownership-of-her-life woman by making one decision, and continuing to make that decision every time chaos shows up. Enjoy :)

012 | Simple, Not Easy

2024-01-0822:26

A lot of decisions that we have to make every day are easy. Most are simple. It's not always the simple ones that are easy. In this episode, Rachael talks about her word for 2024 "slingshot" - what it means to simplify, build foundational traits, and that a lifestyle change or identity isn't just decided one time, but consistently in the moment, making the micro decisions to continue to be who it is you want to identify as. Rachael is a mom of 3, wife to a strong, alpha man, a lover of freedom and an experienced, high-performing Real Estate agent.  She co-leads the Novak Team at Real Brokerage in Everett, Washington state.  Her experience in business and life is filled with valleys and peaks, and her take on lifestyle is based on the foundational principle of complete ownership of self. The amount of "rules" floating around out there telling us how to live our lives, be a mom, handle our fitness, contribute to the world, tend to our households, etc etc is unreal. And I'd like to blow that sh*t right up. Hint: there are no rules.  The only "requirement" in this life is to be authentically, unapologetically YOU. So here Rachael discusses (read: rants) about exactly what that means. Say f*** that to "New Year, New You" and let's get in alignment with who you really are. Enjoy :)
Let's face it; negativity is all around us, constantly working to pull us down, constantly challenging our mindset, our productivity and our motivation. But what if... negative energy was a source of fuel? instead of being resentful or hurt about negativity coming at you, you turned it into productive activity? Imagine channeling all of that negativity, storing it, drawing upon it and using it to say, "f--- you, I'll show you"! In this episode, Rachael digs in to the reality that negative energy - dark side energy - can be used as a source of incredibly useful fuel to propel you into productivity and success.  It can keep you going, even when the "motivation" and "positive mindset" are waning. She dishes out some REAL talk in this episode; enjoy.
009 | Wartime SheEO

009 | Wartime SheEO

2023-12-1129:09

Simply put, a Wartime Leader does whatever it takes.  She focuses on winning the day, day after day.  She understands that glass ceilings are meant to be broken and she pushes forward, through discomfort and pain and hardship, to do what is necessary to have that break through. Drawing inspiration from Ben Horowitz's "Wartime vs Peacetime CEO", Rachael breaks down multiple points of the dichotomy between these two different leaders and how, as the SheEO of your life and business, you can show up as the Wartime SheEO you need to in order to evolve, grow, and thrive in the next season of life -  because it's going to take all you got. Enjoy, Warriors <3
We've all heard the terms, "Flying with Eagles" and "Eagle Eye", but do we REALLY understand how natural, primal traits of an eagle could be applicable to our lives? Rachael goes over the 6 Leadership Principles to Learn from an Eagle, and HOW you can apply them starting right now. Whether you're a leader in your industry looking for a framework to train or coach your people, or if you're continually working to grow and evolve into a better you, these principles will give you a phenomenal framework with which to live an unapologetic, focused life. Thanks for listening in!
This is a spicy one. In this episode, Rachael discusses the devastation that instant gratification is having on our culture in the workplace and beyond. She talks about how the "participation trophy" mindset is conditioning many to believe they don't have to put in nearly as much effort as it ACTUALLY requires to get things done and find success. She also dispels the old adage, "showing up is half the battle" - and WHY this is a losing mentality. Self-awareness and modeling the behavior to create an environment of hard work and delayed gratification is the key to building a culture of people who understand that you must First DO, then you GET. Thanks for listening in!
Do you see others who seem to be doing "it all"? Accomplishing a ton, always busy - like, you almost feel exhausted with their life? They are simply INTENTIONAL with their time. They plan for productivity instead of being reactive to what the day may bring. They are proactive about activities, goals, and projects. So "how do they do it"?  - using their Perfect Daily Schedule. But remember, they likely aren't in the same seasons as you, they probably aren't working at the same pace you need to run on in this season of your life, and they probably don't have the same set of priorities you have right now. But what does the "Perfect" Daily Schedule even mean? efficient productive fulfilling In this episode, Rachael breaks down the key elements to creating (and recreating) your perfect daily schedule, so you can become efficient, productive, and feel fulfilled instead of overwhelmed.
In this episode, Rachael discusses how to specifically increase your workplace currency. What is "workplace currency", you ask?  It's the value you bring to the organization you work for and the people around you. The current generation is rampant with the mentality of "holding out for a management position"...and overvaluing their actual worth at work, and as a business owner and leader for many years, Rachael has seen first-hand how many people WAIT to take action, to bring value, until they get an opportunity. The exact opposite needs to be true. You need to bring value to the workplace FIRST, increase your workplace currency FIRST, in order to level up and earn the money, the prestige, the leadership opportunities you want so badly. DO first.  Then BE. Listen in and take notes - no holds barred in this one! <3
In this episode, Rachael tackles the not-so-sexy subject of EGO. Do WOMEN have egos?  Her take: yes. And it shows up in different, unique ways that we don't think about or consider. She breaks down the 3 ways ego is holding you back from growth, from your potential, and from fulfillment in this quick, raw episode stacked full of tough truth. Open your mind, your heart, and enjoy!
