The Irish Parliament is pronounced like Dahl as in Roabh Dahl, not Doyle :)

Have listened to quite a few because the topics interested me, but am finally unsubscribing. There are so many other podcasts that are pleasant to listen to, or at least the quality of presentation doesn't get in the way of the subject matter. It is like listening to 2 high school girls take turns stumble-reading from the paper they wrote for history class. For a "brand name" podcast the nasal, vocal fry, snorting, giggling style is too unprofessional for my patience any more.

I enjoy the podcast and have been listening for a long time, but the insistence on looking at history through a modern lens and judging people based on today's culture instead of the culture they lived in is getting annoying.

Alas, the "girls" lost me. Historians? Christian believers? I can't hear them drawling disbelief at anything other than the christian cult. Like high school juniors ....not pros.

i would put more details in the titles...a name does not say a lot to me (hence why i am here to learn)...it would be really helpful.

Listening in 2017 is interesting as well. A new perspective on this information makes me think of the "fake news" term that flys around. It turns the news reported into propaganda by rallying against the institution of reporting.

I think it's wonderful, especially for those who know little about European history.

The content is interesting stuff to learn about, but Candice's voice is very irritating. It's inexplicably annoying.

This podcast is just like listening to a sorority girl and her jock friend flirt and stumble through quasi-history lessons and trying to compel more people to traffic their site...Actually, it's just like that.

I'm 61 and enjoyed history at school, 51 to 57 yrs ago. However, these podcasts covering such a range, from sewing machines to Copernicus, are a pleasure to listen to, my school lessons were dull. Keep it coming. Regards, Peter.
