Both Scripture and science have always supported the theory of creationism—the belief that all that is was created by God ex nihilo. So... where is the proof? Dr. John Bergsma and Dr. Thomas Seiler—a physicist at The Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation—assess and debunk the various theories and “evidences” for atheistic evolution. In this episode, you'll discover what Scripture and theology actually say about the origins of creation, why it’s impossible for life to be created spontaneously from simple chemicals, and what sedimentology and the fossil record actually prove about the origins of life. Join us for a fascinating discussion exploring why modern science may fall short when it comes to answering the deepest questions about our origins. ___ Want more from the St. Paul Center? 📱Download our NEW APP: https://stpaulcenter.com/app 📖 Get the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible for FREE: https://stpaulcenter.com/memberships Grow in your Love & Knowledge of Scripture 👨🏫 Join Scott Hahn & Others for a Bible Study: https://stpaulcenter.com/bible-studies 🛒 Browse our bookstore: https://stpaulcenter.co/emmausroadpublishing ✈️ Go on a pilgrimage with us: https://stpaulcenter.co/pilgrimages 🔥 Support our mission: https://stpaulcenter.co/donate For Priests: ✨ Every Priest receives a FREE All-Access Membership: https://stpaulcenter.com/priests ⛪️ If you're a Priest looking to attend one of our annual Priest Conferences: https://stpaulcenter.co/priestconferences ___ Follow us on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stpaulcenter Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SaintPaulCenter/ X/Twitter: https://x.com/saintpaulcenter #jesuschrist #johnbergsma #creationsim #evolution #drthomasseiler #stunnedbyscripture #science #creation

We have come to know more about our universe today than ever before. But can scientists tell us why the universe exists or what it means to be human? In this episode of Stunned by Scripture, Dr. John Bergsma and molecular biologist Dr. Daniel Kuebler, author of Darwin and Doctrine, explore the relationship between modern science and the Catholic Faith. Together they show why the biggest questions of human existence reach beyond what science alone can answer. In this installment, you'll discover: how Catholic teaching provides a framework for understanding evolution, why science can explain mechanisms but not meaning, and why the search for truth requires both scientific inquiry and philosophical reflection. Join Dr. Bergsma and Dr. Kuebler for this thoughtful conversation about the deeper questions of the universe. ✨ Get the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible for FREE ➡️ https://stpaulcenter.com/memberships ___ Other ways to grow with the St. Paul Center: ⛪️ If you're a Priest looking to attend one of our annual Priest Conferences: https://stpaulcenter.co/priestconferences 📖 Start a Bible study with the St. Paul Center: https://stpaulcenter.co/biblestudies ✈️ Go on a pilgrimage with us: https://stpaulcenter.co/pilgrimages 🛒 Browse our bookstore: https://stpaulcenter.co/emmausroadpublishing 🔥 Support our mission: https://stpaulcenter.co/donate ___ Follow the St. Paul Center on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stpaulcenter?igsh=anloZXB4dDdjcHI1&utm_source=qr Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/177cb1WMS5/?mibextid=wwXIfr X/Twitter: https://x.com/saintpaulcenter?s=21&t=8_4yim_uMnTcaKXDbGGuVQ #stpaulcenter #johnbergsma #stunnedbyscripture #drdanielkuebler #creation #evolution #christianity #science #philosophy
Why is it that the more some scientists study creation, the more they begin to find evidence for God? In this episode of Stunned by Scripture, Dr. John Bergsma and biochemist Dr. Michael Behe explore how the incredible complexity of life points us toward a Creator. In their conversation, you’ll discover why scientists initially resisted the Big Bang theory, why some scientific institutions refuse to discuss the possibility of intelligent design, and more. Modern science doesn’t have to be a hindrance to faith. Deepen your appreciation for both creation and the Creator who made it in this installment of Stunned by Scripture. Paul Center on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stpaulcenter?igsh=anloZXB4dDdjcHI1&utm_source=qr Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/177cb1WMS5/?mibextid=wwXIfr X/Twitter: https://x.com/saintpaulcenter?s=21&t=8_4yim_uMnTcaKXDbGGuVQ #stpaulcenter #johnbergsma #stunnedbyscripture #drmichaelbehe #creation #evolution #intelligentdesign #bigbangtheory #christianity #science
Many Christians are taught that the Bible alone is sufficient and that each Christian can interpret it for themselves. But what happens when Christians don't agree on an interpretation of Scripture? In this episode of Stunned by Scripture, Dr. John Bergsma unpacks the truth of Jesus’ words to Peter in Matthew 16. In this breakdown, you'll learn about the importance and necessity of apostolic succession, the proper authority for interpreting Scripture, the true meaning of "binding and loosing" in Jesus' time, and more. Using both Scripture and ancient Jewish writings, Dr. Bergsma demonstrates how Christ established a sure and authoritative voice for interpreting His Word. Paul Center on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stpaulcenter?igsh=anloZXB4dDdjcHI1&utm_source=qr Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/177cb1WMS5/?mibextid=wwXIfr X/Twitter: https://x.com/saintpaulcenter?s=21&t=8_4yim_uMnTcaKXDbGGuVQ #stpaulcenter #johnbergsma #stunnedbyscripture #matthew16 #stpeter #scripture #apostolicsuccession #interpretation #catholic #christian
