In this Episode I talk to Njabulo Ngidi, a talented and passionate son of Africa. We discuss purpose, youth development, intentional destiny alignment, breaking barriers to progress, patience, and generational wealth.  With lessons derived from his personal experiences, Njabulo shares his story as a student, young professional, and now as a corporate leader. After an IT stint with FNB (South Africa), Njabulo joined the Commercial Bank of Qatar, all this whilst pursuing what he defines as his main calling, life coaching and youth development.  With a background shrouded in speaking & writing limitations, bad company, and fear of public speaking, his future had a bleak destiny, but God had His own way of re-channeling the young man's passion to a great future. His journey has just began! Do you know that the fear of the unknown can destroy your intended purpose and greatness? Listen to our talk and be inspired.
Most people are comfortable with defining leadership as the process by which we direct, guide and influence the behavior and work of others towards accomplishment of specific goals. However, when we reflect on the term 'self-leadership', most of us fail to convert the same leading power towards ourselves.  Self-leadership is "the practice of intentionally influencing your thinking, feeling and actions towards your objective/s". (Bryant and Kazan 2012).  In this Episode, we zero-in on this concept with the sole objective of discovering the hidden gold in the the practice. Enjoy!
In this fifth and last episode in the Entrepreneurship Agenda Series, we discuss the Big Business Idea. With a narrative of small business proliferation in Malawi and many developing economies, it sounds almost impossible to dream of creating a big business. However, looking back at our progressive entrepreneurial discussions, we can see that knowledge holds the major key to our mindset shift - moving us from a place of insignificance to a platform of community strength. By coming together, we can do more - and indeed, we can build big local businesses.
In this fourth Episode of the Entrepreneurship Agenda Series, we discuss the impact of family businesses in the economic advancement of our nation, and how we can overcome the customary 'trust issues' among local families.  It is evident that most African countries don't fair well on the generational family business index partly due to the inadequate involvement of children or siblings in one's business enterprise. The common experience is that good businesses (unfortunately) close doors when the founding member dies. But how can we borrow a leaf from some of the Western, Middle Eastern and Asian entrepreneurial families and make this agenda work on the home turf?
In this third Episode of the Entrepreneurship Agenda  series, we discuss the Power of Partnerships in galvanizing great entrepreneurial or business ideas. We delve a little deeper into why mastermind groups are essential in bringing your ideas to life, and how we can all benefit from pulling different talents and resources together. In summary, I believe business partnerships are some of the most underrated powerhouses in Malawi. I hope you will enjoy the thought-provoking insights and I will be delighted to hear your feedback via the audio comments on this podcast or via my twitter handle @moschavi, facebook/moschavi, or my email moschavi@gmail.com.

I am out of the cave with a new and first published book! 'Don't leave your money behind' discusses how expats can better manage their money in the expat environments. The inspiration goes way back to the start of the covid19 pandemic after I witnessed the negative impact of the pandemic on the lives of global expats. I realized there must be a better way expats can manage their finances to come out of these economies better and wealthier. The books contains portions of my own experience, other real expats, and snippets on almost all areas of an expat experience. Fil Achina Thanks Chair. The book will be on Amazon in Kindle and paperback versions. Here is the pre-order link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BW7TCV81?ref_=pe_3052080_276849420
In this episode I take time to reflect on the year 2021 and what I have learnt on the subject of purpose. It is obvious how redefining the past year has been, and it is also true that the pandemic has given most of us a chance to define what is truly important to us and our loved ones. The sentiments shared in this episode would resonate with most of the audience - but beyond the recording, there is something of deeper and lasting value that each one of us will benefit from. Enjoy!
In this Episode, I talk to Chris Guest, a seasoned Risk and Audit professional who has massive 30+ years global experience in multiple business industries. Born in South Africa, Chris grew up in Eastern Cape with a rare impetus to succeed in his chosen Profesional path; and true to his dream, after a successful run in South Africa, he found himself leading growing functions in state and quasi government institutions (in the Middle East). Chris' life experiences are the epitome of a rich and enviable international career any progressive professional would desire. I also take the opportunity to mine from him life lessons that are critical for young professionals.
If you look deeply into your past, recent past, today, and the days ahead you will easily notice a pattern of growth and maturity. It is apparent that God designed our lives to go through some essential phases before we can truly become influencial in the domains He has ordained for us. In this Episode, I discuss the different phases of our lives starting with the learning season, then the allocation season and the delivery season (also identified as the time for learning, being given a voice, and then the ultimate assignment) . Do you yet know which phase of life you are in? And are you maximizing the season to ensure optimal realization of your purpose? Listen, learn, sharpen the saw, and share!
From a humble beginning, Sir Mike Mulato Chilewe worked his way up from being a Meter Reader, and later as a Consumers Clerk at ESCOM. Through grace and shear grit he founded Mike's Welding Company and experienced an unbelievable rise to stardom as one of Malawi’s finest entrepreneurs. From Mike’s Welding Company, he moved on to create Mike’s Steel and later grew the enterprise to Mike’s Trading Group. His business started with manufacturing steel windows frames, door frames and steel gates before diversifying into making vehicle trailers, vehicle canopies as well as truck bodies and boats that saw the company register tremendous financial growth. To diversify the business, the Group also ventured into the hospitality industry before the enterprise started experiencing a tough financial storm which later saw the hard-earned prowess ebb away - moving Sir Mike into a new dimension of his entrepreneurial quest, where he has earned practical insights on how to build better and bigger. In this interview he faithfully shares his massive knowledge and wisdom earned from the university of hard-knocks. This is the type of knowledge you don't just get from anywhere. If you truly care about our nation (the growth-agenda) and exponential entrepreneurial success for yourself and your network, this is the type of talks we must be having. This is one interview I also simply came to learn, and I left Sir Mike to teach as I took notes. I believe you will enjoy and learn as you push towards your destiny. I will be delighted if you can share the episode with your friends, family and networks. I will also appreciate your feedback via my email address moschavi@gmail.com.
