The generosity of the Macedonians and the Corinthians supplied the needs of the saints in Jerusalem and overflowed in thanksgiving to God. We are called to do the same, to glorify God, because of who he is, through the act of generosity.
In the opening pages of John's Gospel, Jesus issues a simple but life-changing invitation: "Come and see." In these two scenes, His first disciples called and His first miracle performed, we witness the heart of Jesus on full display.
