On this episode of Sunny in PHX, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich catch up on everything Suns. It has been a busy time for both of them and they greatly appreciate everyone's understanding. They talk about the NBA In Season Tournament. What went well? What would we change? They also discuss the latest Draymond Green incident and the League's reaction. They then discuss the Suns' big 3 finally seeing the court together. Note: this episode was recorded before Bradley Beal's most recent ankle injury.

On this week's episode of Sunny in PHX, Mitch Krmpotich reviews the Phoenix Suns' recent injury struggles. He also reviews recaps of the last few games and looks forward to the coming three games, especially Friday's in-season tournament game against the Lakers. The Suns have had their struggles this season, but are hopefully on the up and up as the team appears to be on the precipice of full health. Also let me know what books you recommend. I'm trying to get back into reading! I am typically a fan of fantasy (if it's not too long), horror, noir, and fiction in general.

The Suns addressed nearly every position on the court through free agency and trades this year, and are looking to make another deep playoff run. The guys talk about how each of these guys will fit in, and what they expect their roles to be. After that the guys talk about the upcoming Las Vegas NBA Summer League, and are excited to see Jordan Goodwin and Toumani Camara take the court for the Suns before the regular season starts. The guys break down the trade and talk about what the team will look like with Bradley Beal, how he fits in with Booker and Durant, as well as what Jordan Goodwin could bring to the rotation this season. After that, the guys take a look at the Suns newest draft pick, Toumani Camara from Dayton. The 23 year old power forward finds himself in an interesting position - a 2nd round pick who could be counted on to play minutes for a championship contender. On this week's episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about the disappointing 0-2 start against the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semifinals. Luckily, the Suns will have the homecourt advantage against the Nuggets for the next two games, coming on Friday and Sunday. The Suns didn't play terrible in Game 1, but the Denver Nuggets showed why they were the #1 seed in the Western Conference this season. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray both had big games to propel the Nuggets to the win - while Devin Booker and Kevin Durant carried the load for the Suns, but fell short. Game 2 had a very different tone, where the Suns came out very aggressive on defense and on the glass, but ran out of steam on the offensive end towards the end of the game. Coach Monty Williams shuffled around the rotation a bit, but the Suns only managed 4 points off the bench, and looked very stagnant throughout large chunks of the game. The Suns handled business and closed out the Los Angeles Clippers in five games - ending a series in front of the Valley faithful for the first time since 2007. The guys take a look at how the Suns got the edge on the Clippers in the final three games, including riding the hot hands of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, and some changes to the rotation. Then the guys look ahead to the Denver Nuggets series, where the Suns will be taking on the #1 team in the West. All eyes go to the Nikola Jokic vs Deandre Ayton matchup - but the Suns will have their hands full with plenty of size that the Nuggets put out on the court. In Game 1, the Suns came out very flat and had troubles working themselves back into the game. Kevin Durant got off to a very slow start, while not getting much help from the rest of the roster - creating an early defecit for the Suns. The guys focus on on Monty Williams' rotations in this game, and say what went wrong. Game 2 was a different story, seeing the Suns take a victory while looking much more efficient on both ends of the ball, some tighter rotations from Monty Williams, and our star players get into a groove.
