We’re back with our full review of Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 5, “Back to the Suture.” In this podcast, we break down the latest entry in James Gunn’s hit DC series, discussing the episode’s biggest moments, character developments, and where the story might be heading next.
Before diving into the episode, we kick things off with a cold open covering the 2025 Emmy Awards—including wins for Severance, The Penguin, The Pitt, and Andor.
From there, we get into the heart of Episode 5. While “Back to the Suture” is fun and packed with Peacemaker’s signature humor, it doesn’t move the overall story forward as much as we’d like. With Episodes 4 and 5 running shorter than usual, it feels like these two installments could’ve been combined into one stronger chapter.
We discuss ARGUS’s bizarre decision to release Peacemaker after a shady interrogation, the confusing fate of Red St. Wild at the talons of Eagly, and Chris Smith’s shocking choice to live in the alternate Earth. Plus, we theorize on what’s next for Emilia Harcourt, Vigilante, and the rest of our favorite misfits as the season heads toward its final three episodes.
We’re diving deep into The Long Walk—the chilling new Stephen King adaptation! In this episode, we deliver both a spoiler-free review and a spoiler-filled breakdown of the film. We discuss the movie’s atmosphere, pacing, tone, and character-driven story, praising its gripping performances and haunting narrative. While The Long Walk succeeds in immersing us in a bleak and gruesome journey, the ending left us feeling unsatisfied.
Before we get into the review, we open with a 20-minute cold discussion on the 2027 Superman movie Man of Tomorrow. We explore theories about Superman teaming up with Lex Luthor against a major threat—possibly Brainiac—and what this could mean for the future of the DCU.
In the spoiler section, we break down The Long Walk scene by scene, covering the most intense moments, shocking deaths, and our favorite performances. We also compare the film’s grim and ambiguous ending to other dark stories like No Country For Old Men, The Devil All The Time, and Joker (2019).
If you’re a Stephen King fan, a movie buff, or just love dark, thought-provoking storytelling, this is the review for you!
Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4, “Need I Say Door”, has arrived and we’re breaking it all down! In this review, we dive into the biggest moments, shocking twists, and wild theories from the latest DCU series. Episode 4 gives us standout performances from John Economos, Rick Flag Sr., and the unhinged Red St Wild, stealing the spotlight from Peacemaker himself. We also discuss Emilia Harcourt’s potential redemption arc, the mystery of the aliens, and what’s wrong with the parallel universe.
Before diving into Peacemaker, we open the episode with a discussion on WrestleMania heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027, the dangers of rising ticket prices, and the brand-new promotional image of Doctor Doom from Avengers: Doomsday.
From the character development to the pacing, humor, and the awesome Peacemaker vs. Judomaster fight scene, Episode 4 proves to be an important setup for what’s coming in Episode 5. Join us as we give our full thoughts, theories, and breakdown of the DC Universe’s wildest superhero comedy!
