Swarthmore College Women's Tennis' Jenny Lewis took a gap year after her freshman year and spent it doing research with orthopedic doctors at the University of Chicago and had the incredible opportunity to present a paper for publication that she was the first author of. Swarthmore College Athletics has been a home away from home for Marie Mancini who has been on the sidelines with Garnet since 1986. Jim Heller has been the head coach of Swarthmore College Golf since the 2005-06 season and has twice been named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year. Heller also takes pride in the academic success of his team which in two of the past three years was honored for having the highest team GPA in all of Division III. Swarthmore College 2017 grads Sam Lebryk and Steve Sekula roomed together for three years at Swarthmore, each won a Centennial Conference Championship in their respective sports the same week of their senior year, and are now working together to produce a card game called Gem Blenders, a fitting name for a game created by Garnet alumni.
