Introducing ... Pig Iron

Introducing...Pig Iron. A story about the mysterious death – and life – of a young war reporter on the frontline. At first, it looked like another tragedy of war… a young journalist caught in the crossfire. Until, just hours after his death, his story splintered. The government claimed he wasn’t a journalist at all, but a foreign fighter – a legitimate target. Other evidence suggested he was killed on purpose for being a reporter. In this new series from Tortoise and the team behind Sweet Bobby, Pig Iron is a journey into the dark seduction of war, and what really happened to Christopher Allen.  Listen to episode one today. Wow...Kirat is a very brave lady! It's bad enough to confront your abuser but to come up against a whole community. Except for some who attempted to help. The abuser is a text book psychopath, sociopath and all round unbalance human. Until such time that all levels of mankind understand that ANYONE can be affected by mental illness and brain malfunction it will never be properly addressed and dealt with. I do wonder if the Abusers family was held hostage by her as well? And the Real Bobby...did he get legal justice?????

If you can question how anyone can believe the Skype calls with the camera off etc… and how could anyone be fooled? listen to the Hollywood Con Queen podcast ~ one person with several voices and characters, conning very smart people. It happens. I do hope justice really does get served. It may have also taken over Simran but that was her choice and in her control. Apparently Simran says the character was mean so that Kirat would end it. She kept pulling Kirat back with ‘Bobby’s’ health issues. Simran didn’t want it to end, SHE NEEDED it in her life. She may be manipulating others daily. Kirat has been brave and rightfully says she’s not ashamed, I’m glad she met a few good people who wanted to help. I wish Kirat the absolute best outcome. Parents unfortunately aren’t always supportive, which is very hurtful.

LOTS of victim blaming comments, and some of you need to re-evaluate, but her dads response is shocking, and I would feel very sick to my stomach if my dad said that after reading the apology letter. he is upset because of the rift in the family, not because what happened to her. and who cares if simrans family are decent people, simran is a psychopath.

Kirat is as much to blame as anyone....how do you have countless Skype calls with someone who doesn't turn the camera on... isn't that the whole point of a Skype call? I can see why the police department did nothing here...it is a civil matter not a criminal matter....Kirat made hundreds of decisions here that propagated these events...this is clear a case of it takes two to tango... and what about her friends and family!!!! No one ever felt the need to step up and say Kirat your getting played here!!!! Good Lord!

Maybe I missed something but “Bobby” spoke on the phone with people - did she disguise her voice? Or was there someone else involved?

She had a very horrid thing happen to her ,and TBF she must of been awful but,,,"I don't know if I can go on to have children, get married, goodness you do eventually have to put something behind you, and move on, she's got an apology, and everyone, now knows her character, and sometimes people believe what they want to believe, not victim blaming !

Wether you are sympathetic Towards Kirat or not this is still a fantastic coutianry tale for the modern age I avoid social media and this is up there with the reasons why I do well worth a listen but could be upsetting for people who have been in similar situations 👍♥️✌️

I can't believe her dad says, "it shouldn't have happened." why use the passive voice? Cimaron (sorry no idea spelling), shouldn't have done it.

I feel so sorry for Kirat, being an online "care for your pet" experiment for the sociopath Simran because of her good hearted, trusting and empathetic nature. If anything, Simran needs to definitely discuss her cruelty tendencies with a mental health professional.

Thanks for a very interesting article. What else may I get that kind of info written in such a perfect approach? I’ve a undertaking that I am simply now operating on, and I have been at the look out for such info. https://krunkerio.io

Considering the way she didn't "just" catfish, she did it violently, she was abusive, controlling and went so far as to be in a sexual relationship that wasn't informed in anyway with the truth, that's sexual assault, if not rape. Someone who's capable of doing this and watching her own "work" in real time is so fucking out there that her getting lawyers to further intimidate and to take the control of the narrative, despite the truth, away and instead fabricate even more of a "story" makes perfect sense. She is such a harmful fucked up woman who needs to be charged and I really hope that's where this goes. She needs to be punished. She took years off her cousin, she deserves to also lose years.

I've only started episode 5 and don't want to sound insensitive but...I don't get it. What does Kirat want the police to actually do? Her claim is emotional manipulation because she's gullible? Not sure that's actually a crime. I feel for Kirat, I really do, but c'mon, girl. Get back into reality! Seems you were living on the cusp of it for so long you forgot what reality is: DEFINITELY NOT WITNESS PROTECTION. You were naive af, I'm sorry you were so thoroughly manipulated but put on your big girl panties and move forward. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if someone is telling you something fantastical, i.e., I'm in witness protection and am dying of A, B, C, D, and also don't want to see your face in real life because I'm "not ready" then it's exactly what it is: FANTASY.
