Julia is the CEO of SSE Ventures - the venture capital fund of the Stockholm School of Economics, investing in startups admitted to the startup incubator of the business school. She has a background as the CEO of SSE Business Lab, where she has coached 150+ startups on fundraising, growth marketing and sales during her 5 years in the position. Prior to that, she co-founded the event ticketing platform Simply Events, and worked with growth at multiple startups. Julia is an active angel investor in startups like imagiLabs and Relox Robotics and sits on the board of horsetech startup Ridely. In her spare time, she writes about startups, diversity, and works for an equal tech scene.

In this episode we talk about money, sexuality and investing in women. How women and men are asked different questions when raising capital. That VC capital is not for everyone and just because you get VC capital it doesn't mean that you are going to build a successful company. Lastly, we cover the exciting topic of money and sexuality, how these are connected and why they are important for our creative flow.
Ida is running an early stage investment structure, which has invested in over 90 companies. About 45% of their portfolio companies have at least one female founder and the latest investment company has over 40% female investors. She is also a Feminvest Ambassador working to accelerate female ownership. In her own coaching business she teaches and supports women to love money and to connect with their sexuality.
