This race happens on the day of the dead weekend aka Dia de los muertosWhich means that there is already a supercharged magical atmosphere all over MexicoThe Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a 4.304 km (2.674 mi) motorsport race track in Mexico City, Mexico and it’s an older track than you’d think, being built in 1959Originally the idea of father Pedro Rodriguez Sr, the circuit later Named after two of Mexico's racing drivers from the 50s and 60s who just happen to be his sons, Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez (the name of the circuit means the autodrome of the Rodríguez brothers. It must have been quite a scene because at the first race hosted at the circuit a year later in 1960 was won by hometown hero Pedro Rodriguez and then sadly a two years later his brother Ricardo died during a practice session. When Pedro met his untimely at Nuremberg in 1971 the circuit was quickly renamed in their honour.
